Awesome food with awesome service and fair prices
Very busy but enjoyed the visit. Good was very good. Atmosphere with decorations beautiful.
Great out of the way place. Great food and servicelarge patio.
The atmosphere is wonderful when sitting outside. This was not our first time there but will be the last. We arrived after 8 and ordered appetizer which was delicious. It took over and hour to receive our entree and we both were so disappointed. I ordered the eggplant. It consisted of 3 thin sliced eggplant in what was to be a marinara which was nothing of the sort. It tasted like puree straight from a can. We also ordered the seafood mix. 36.00 for 3 tiny shrimp crab cake and scallop. Waaaay over priced for what appeared on these plates. My advice to the manager .. higher prices dont make yr meal better or bring back customers. You are not a 5 star resturant.. if you want to keep yr prices, then at least make the meal worth that price. I realize that most of the reviews are never.positive and opinions. As i stated, was not our first time there.
This was a terrible dining experience. We waited almost an hour and a half for our food and when it came out it was cold. The quality of the food is not worth the price. The waiter was incredibly rude and even insulting. At one point he said to us, "Oh, I'm soooo sorry, how could someone like ME screw up an order for people like YOU." Not worth eating here.
We have been going to The Pines Tavern for years. The quality has gone downhill. On our most recent visit, we decided to give it another try. Out of the four people in our party, three had entrees that were undercooked. The food isn't properly seasoned and the price is entirely way too high for the quality of food you receive.
We had a bridal shower at the Pines Tavern and it was perfect!. The food, the staff and the venue was great. We had a wonderful time and they were very accommodating!
Crispy ribs were tasty, so are the Moscow mules, a touch on the pricey side, not too bad though
Very rude. We walked in the door and asked for seating and the hostess's manager acting as if we were inconviencing her. Luckily, she lightened up and was nice after. Must have been going through a stressful moment. The hostess was nice. The outside seating was gorgeous and peaceful with running water and fresh flowers. The food was good also.
At the Pines Tavern, you'll find a friendly waitstaff and a large menu. Seafood is their specialty. I ordered the turtle soup and Tasmanian Ocean Trout and was very pleased with my entire dining experience.
We went here for lunch. They have a daily lunch special menu every day. The food is delicious, service staff is friendly and helpful, easy parking, comfortable, clean and well lit. I think we just found our new go-to spot.
We called for a special occasion with family from Norway. This has been our go to restaurant and we have enjoyed the food. The hostess was attentive and nice and gave us a beautiful table. The waitress was also helpful and attentive. The food however was poor at best. We had 5 orders of pork chops that were dry and one was insufficiently cooked. Another meal was the chicken pot pie that was like a cream soup with a puffed topping that just fell off. The last meal was a pasta dish where the amount of pasta did not even fill the plate. We did not discuss this while we were there because we did not want to make our guests feel uncomfortable. This was the only dinner out that they had while in Pittsburgh. It was not up to the standards of the Pines restaurant that we know. We may not return if this is the level of quality now.
