Great for spending time with friends. Make sure you bring extra clothes if you have anything to do after as you will smell like you’ve been cooking with grease all day. Amazing food. Be aware, you do cook about 90% of the food yourself, so if you hate cooking this may not be for you.
There should be more of a warning before you sit down and realize you are about to cook your own food. The griddle was way to small for 4 people to cook more than a small portion at a time. The saving grace was the Chicken Chili but spending $10 on 4 slices of bread and 4 slices of cheese makes me feel like a sucker
Fun concept, and the food ended up being really yummy. However, considering that you’re making your own food, it’s way overpriced. Especially the pancake toppings. The pancakes are all you can eat, but the toppings are not. $1 for like 12 chocolate chips in a tiny cup is not a good deal. I don’t really understand how my boyfriend and I paid the exact same there as we would at a full service brunch spot. Expect to go there for the experience, not to save money.
Extremely unimpressed. The building is literally falling apart, the staff is a bunch of dirty hipsters that don't even pretend to try. I saw my server literally 3 total times including the initial greeting and dropping of the check, which didn't happen until I went to the front to try and pay because I just wanted to leave. Overall, speed of service is abysmal. Price is pretty reasonable, though not what I'd call "worth it." The espresso/coffee bar is good and the drinks from it are excellent. Other than that, I will certainly never try to eat here again.
My neighbor recommended this place so I had to check it out. Most people would think you're just paying to make your own pancakes, but the batter itself was really, really good. We were put on a waiting list but were seated within 20 minutes of arriving. Staff was friendly and helpful. The menu had a lot of different choices and you can also make your own eggs and hash browns. Make sure you check this place out!
Vegan and gluten free pancake options!! Just let your server know. You get to cook your own food which makes the whole meal a fun experience, and it was all delicious!! We went on a Sunday and the line when we left around 12:30 was pretty crowded, so try to slip in earlier!
From Atlanta, first time visiting. Parking is limited but this is a nice quaint pancake griddle house. Great for families, teach kids to cook their own food without worrying about making a mess (thank you servers!). Great selection of fancy coffee drinks, very friendly staff. Health score at time of visit 99.
Parking difficult. Few handicap parking spaces. Ramps inside, but threshold made it difficult to exit in wheelchair with bolt hanging from bottom of chair to lock into van floorboard. Delicious biscuits and gravy with sausage. Hit griddle in every table allows guests to cook their own pancakes, eggs, and hashbrowns. Fun place.
My friend and I found this place after 3 attempts to find breakfast downtown in 2 hours. Fail x 1 for cost and fail x 2 for limited options. My friend has a dairy allergy and this place was amazing. They were able to do dairy free pancakes so my friend was able to eat what she wanted instead of choosing from the only 3 safe options available everywhere else. Our server, Bruce, was so sweet and so helpful. Highly recommend! Ask for Bruce!
Terrible place and weird vibe! Our server told us that we couldn't share if we got The Joey meal. Anyway, then I wanted to take out the leftover of the pancake, our server told us "Sorry, you can't!" I said I wanted to give it to homeless people since it was untouched, he said "It's the policy we can't!" What's the point of going to a restaurant if you have to cook your own food and pay way more plus tip!?
First time, definitely last time!
Unique restaurant! The center of each table is a griddle where you cook your own pancakes, french toast, and eggs! Even cook your own grilled cheese at lunch.
A 'one and done' unless you have small children. When you consider what you get, this is one of the most expensive breakfast restaurants in Nashville. Add to the experience wait times of a half hour, give this place a miss. Not very clean either. My waiter even bragged that no one has yet contracted salmonella. Nice selling point.
What a great experience for people of all ages! You order what you want, then you are served with everything you need to cook your own breakfast! Loved that I cooked it fresh! And it was hot/warm when I ate it...lol
The patio dining area looks exactly like my mom & dad's glassed-in carport. I've never thought of eating there, and I found this atmosphere no more appealing. The prices are too high to be brought ingredients to cook everything yourself. My teen daughter, who is up for anything trendy, thought eating in the old, unmaintained patio area was "sketchy and weird." Staff was very nice but not our thing.
As many others have said, certainly a unique experience. All tables have a griddle in the middle to make your own pancakes, french toast, eggs etc. Our hash browns came frozen and took far too long to cook and the food took a long time to come out in general considering the only cooked items we received were bacon and sausage.. the whole wheat batter was surprisingly good but the original was probably better. Had plenty of pancakes and enough toppings (I got 2) to fill me up plenty. Was crowded on a Saturday morning but was sat in about 30 minutes. Worth a visit but almost definitely not a weekly or even monthly return.
