Our story began many years ago, as Bob (owner of The Olive Branch) was destined to bring his authentic Greek cooking to Rockford. His dad was the head chef at the Wagon Wheel back in the day & his mom, well she was an amazing cook. Being 100% Greek & 1st generation; of course, Bob was brought up on traditional Greek cuisine. For years & years, he dreamed of opening a restaurant & then one day after hearing a suggestion from his wife, a NEW VISION was created >>>> A FOOD TRUCK!!! Interesting business is the food truck business!!! Right away Bob & his family created the perfect menu & went on the hunt for a food truck. In July of 2017 in Pennsylvania, "the truck" was found. Driven cross country, redesigned, & restructured with the support of family & friends The Olive Branch Greek food truck opened for business 3 months later!!!! Dedicated to their family dream, Bob & Michele Christidis opened The Olive Branch on September 16, 2017!!!! Which is also ironically their 23rd wedding anniversary!!! Both of their kids, Damon (24) & Gabi (18) work on the truck to keep the Greek cooking tradition going!!! I am sure one day their 4 year old, Jordan, will too!!!! The name, THE OLIVE BRANCH is inspired by 2 things!!! #1 >>> family heritage, Bob's mom was raised on an olive tree farm in Greece AND #2 >> part of our mission was the notation to pay it forward & give back!!! That is why we donate 10% back to any & all fundraising events for schools, benefits, etc. We believe in giving back to the community that allows us to take care of our family & want to always extend "an Olive Branch" to do our part to make Rockford & it's surrounding communities great. The logo, was designed Bob's daughter, Gabi as a father's day present.Thank you for supporting this local business, we hope to be part of Rockford for years and years to come!!!!
