Honest Review- Pre-Wedding taste tasting Experience
I went to the food tasting today for an upcoming wedding, the place looks nice for the wedding but the experience of the tasting today was much lower class than I was expecting. The food was cold a majority of the time, it tasted decent but not anything above and beyond sort of like going to a golden corral for a buffet. I didn't leave thinking wow that was great about anything I ate. Also they do not cook all the food offered for you to choose from off the menu. The food was left open and the toast glasses to take as you walked in, had lip marks on them, not good infection control. I had to walk around the food tables ten times to try to figure out what we didn't taste and what things were called not everything was labeled. All of the staff were nice and the vibes are good but Praying the wedding is much more in order than this! It really is a beautiful location though! Y’all seriously made my day a dream come true !! The venue is so breathtaking, the food was perfect , the crew was so attentive to any and everything needed to accommodate us and our guests . Thank y’all so much for working so hard to make everything exactly as we wanted !! Truly a magical place ! A day I will always remember ❤️

This venue is DEFINITELY worth every penny! Everyone that works there is absolutely amazing and extremely attentive! I would highly recommend this place for any event!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! We had our wedding at the Oaks in June and everything went perfectly! We are so grateful to Hannah for setting us up for success and meeting with us to plan everything out. Asia was incredible as our day-of coordinator and brought the perfect calming energy that I needed, she handled every special moment and kept track of time to make sure everything ran smoothly– she always came and found me while I was running around having a good time to remind me we needed to cut the cake, do the garter toss, get this picture done, etc. I am also so grateful to Mary. It looked like rain 30 minutes before the ceremony was meant to start so Mary prepared for the worst and set everything up inside before coming to discuss how I wanted to proceed. She encouraged me to do what I wanted more than anything and sat with me to watch the weather radar in suspense. She was so supportive for what looking back seemed like such a silly thing to get freaked out over but she handled me with such kindness and grace and everything worked out perfectly! The FOOD at The Oaks was absolutely incredible. I had guests telling me during the wedding and I’ve had guests tell me since what a fantastic job they did – we had four appetizers: the stuffed mushrooms, eggplant strips, boudin balls, and seafood au gratin bread; two sides: marinated vegetables and praline sweet potatoes; and three entrees: jambalaya, apple glazed pork, and a beef round carving station. Everything was so so delicious and I was so impressed with the Chef. I thought it was an especially cool touch that The Oaks does a food tasting for all event-planners looking to have an event there every four months! It was a great opportunity to try everything and plan exactly what we wanted. AND they set it up so that we, as the bride and groom, got to have a private dinner just the two of us before entering the reception to spend some special time together and it was one of my favorite moments of the day. The photo booth was also absolutely gorgeous, I love the mirror and the fact that there’s a photo booth attendant there to help guests figure it out and get the pictures in a guest book for us. The ceremony itself was also so pretty – we chose The Oaks because we wanted to get married outside but have the reception indoors and we fell in love with the beautiful oak trees outside the second we saw them. The grand staircase inside also made me feel like a princess on the best day of my life. And we got to take gorgeous getting ready pictures in the bridal suite. Loved our experience there and loved all the staff that made our day possible!

I absolutely loved my experience at The Oaks. From day 1, Mrs. Missy Hammack was very professional and detailed with our walk through. We received emails and communication for every step. Any questions I asked were answered promptly. Everything leading up to the day was handled professionally. Our experience was amazing. The food was amazing. My family and friends are still talking about our experience. The price was reasonable. And most of all, all you have to do is show up! Mrs. Mary was very helpful. She made us feel welcomed and she fit right into the party.
