THE NYC FIREFIGHTER BROTHERHOOD FOUNDATION WILL FOCUS ON SELF RELIANCE THROUGH FIREFIGHTERS HELPING FIREFIGHTERS. WE WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ALONG WITH MORAL AND PHYSICAL SUPPORT. WE CAN PROVIDE STRENGTH, COMFORT AND GUIDANCE TO ANYONE WHO HAS TAKEN ILL. OUR FOUNDATION WILL STRIVE TO OBTAIN AND HAVE ON HAND THE NECESSARY INFORMATION THAT IS NEEDED IN A TIME OF CRISIS. WE WILL CARRY ON THE TRADITION OF "LEAVING NO MAN BEHIND."

WITH THAT IN MIND, WE WILL EDUCATE MEMBERS AS IT RELATES TO THEIR HEALTH AND WELFARE. OUR FOUNDATION WILL ALSO PROMOTE AWARENESS OF THE ILLNESSES THAT WE WILL ALL FACE, TOGETHER.

This will continue as long as possible in the memory of our first Foundation President and role model, F/F John "JOHNNYMAC" McNamara, Engine 234, who unselfishly cared more for his Brothers and their health than his own, even until his death
