Description

The Model's Handbook
by William Robert Gately

The Model’s Handbook was first written in 1982 in response to a request from Simorgh Modeling and Talent Agency, in Phoenix, AZ. At that time, I had worked a little in film, been a successful photographer, worked as a local casting agent for a few Hollywood films, and was a SAG/AFTRA agent. Since then, I have worked on many more films, commercials, stage productions, music events with headliners, photo shoots, documentaries, television shows, and web productions. It is amazing how much you can do in over 46 years.

The goal then was to help new models and actors understand the business of the industry. It is the same goal today, but the filed is more complicated, crowded, and, to a degree, dangerous than ever before with the new technology that photographers and producers have available.

There is a bucket of good advice between these covers. But ultimately, nobody but you can make yourself a success. Go do it! Have fun! And above all else, be safe!
