Beautiful place! We were here after one of our friends recommended this place. There are two options, you can either reserve a place for dine in or you can wait for general area seating and grab a spot as soon as you get a table.
We got a nice corner table. Staff is here is very friendly. We got few tapas plates, ratatouille was only okay! But pita was great. Eggplant parm could be better. Food didn't impress us much!
But we want to give this place one more chance for the vibes this place has!

We visited for happy hour. It seemed so packed that we were afraid the wait would be too long but the hostess told us we could sit at an empty high top if we could find one. I’m glad we did because the tapas were delicious! Great prices and selection for happy hour. Sangria was yummy too.

Whether you've got a party of two or 12, The Med should be near the top of your list for lunch or dinner. We have never been disappointed with any of the tapas and the wine list matches any budget. Of all the really good options nearby, I keep going back here. Awesome. Every time.

Very nice respite while walking around. We had a selection of small plate appetizers. Excellent service, though it did Tesla s bit longer than expected for them to take our order. Otherwise, excellent. The only issue... A bit pricey, but that's relative.

Absolutely impressive. As far as ambiance goes, it is a beautiful and spacious restaurant with a warm and inviting vibe. The tapas menu has something for everyone, where there is a wide selection of small plates that are humbly priced. The drinks
are perfect. There is something on the menu for everyone. I wish we had a place like this in NY. Thank you Nick for getting our first visit to Boulder off to a great start!

Oct 2017 update, down to 3 stars from 5 - really mediocre at best food, smaller portions, higher prices, so so service. The economy is booming, I get it but giving up on the Med after 20 years - too bad.
Pizzas are still very good as it the bread. Seafood paella had old calamari n it and was really rice with a bit of seafood dumped on top. Updated dessert menu is awful, tiny servings and not very good, bring back the tiramisu, that was great.

Three for the initial lapse in service. Four or five for the quality of food. We were quickly sat on a Monday evening, then spent 20 minutes watching two servers work the section around us. When we asked one server to check and see who was responsible for our table, he walked right past our server. Eventually I introduced myself, and we were off to the races.
After the initial snafu, everything was great. Food was reasonably priced, the server's recommendations were on point, and service/taste were fantastic. This is one of my personal favorites in Boulder, primarily for the food choices, affordable happy hour, and location.

Great place during happy hour. Pizza is not your average pizza. Very tasty. Mussels are seasoned perfectly. Lamb on skewers is a favorite. Service is great. Parking garage is the best option. Can't wait to return. Good for group's, Family, solo or couple. All around a great place with good food!

YES YES YES. Just go here! If you are searching through Google maps right now looking for a place to eat in Boulder, stop looking now and go here! Everything on the menu is absolutely incredible and the ambiance is lovely. This is where I take everyone who's visiting from out of town. My favorite restaurant in Colorado!!

A real establishment in Boulder, the Med serves up some of the tastiest Mediterranean cuisine in Boulder. They were one of the first place in town to offer tapas in the restaurants first iteration. They are still leading the way by being the finest bread bakery in town, though sadly, it is a bit difficult to find their bread these days not already made into sandwiches and things around town.

Good food. Prices nice. Just too much noise. Could not even hear people that were talking at my table.

Best place for tapas in Boulder. Huge seating area so it's always easy to get a good spot regardless of the time of day. Excellent patio!

SO DAMN GOOD. We've been there for dinner, brunch, and Happy Hour, and all were great experiences. The menu is diverse, exciting, and excellently prepared. The staff is really on their game and knowledgeable, and the restaurant itself is also just beautiful.

I have been here quite a few times for work outings and I have yet to meet someone who was dissatisfied with it. The food is fantastic and it isn't extravagantly expensive either! I usually get one of their salads and they are always such a treat. I highly recommend this place!

The Med is a great spot to eat in Boulder. If you would have asked me five years ago, I would have rated it five stars, but I think that The Med has fallen behind a little as tons of new restaurants have opened in Boulder. My biggest complaint is that the place feels a bit stale now. The tapas menu changes, but never that much, and instead of coming up with yummy new tapas, it always seems like they change one of their staple favorites for the worse. For example, the bacon wrapped dates used to be in a brown sugar sauce, which was everyone's favorite. Now they are in a lemon, butter sauce, which is still good, but not as good. While they change their staple favorites, it never seems like they add any new favorites. There are so many tapas that they could try, but it seems like the kitchen has been lacking in creativity for a few years. The price of tapas has also increased dramatically while quality has remained the same, the waitstaff has gotten less friendly, and portion sizes have gotten smaller. Keep in mind that these are all marginal changes and The Med is in a location with stiff competition. I would still recommend The Med to people, it's just further down my list than it was 5-7 years ago.
