Breakfast was below average. The place opened up about 10 mins. late. Then it took over an hour to receive our breakfast. - We were also here last year and came in for dinner. Same experience. With all of the other available options in town, we will probably never return to the Longhorn.
We had breakfast there and it was really good. I had pancakes. They were as big as hubcaps almost. But we're really good. I highly recommend Longhorn restaurant when you are in Tombstone.
After hearing good things and reading good reviews, my wife and decided to find out for ourselves. Wait staff is quick and attentive. Outside the restaraunt claims award winning BBQ ribs, steak and burgers. Definitely not a good award. My steak ( supposed to be medium rare) was well done. They slather butter on top to hide how dry and overcooked it was. Mashed potatoes were borderline cold and corn was a very unnatural color, not even close to appetizing. Wife's chicken was good, alas, the potatoes and corn were not. After sending my steak back, waitress was quick to get me a BLT and fries. Fries weren't cooked very well, BLT was fine. As if this wasnt enough, I used the bathroom. Yikes. Some kinda nasty and filthy that was. The hand dryer looks like mold and feces were smeared on it. See picture. If this is where staff washes hands, I'll never go back.
Any reviews of a good nature are either luck or the reviewer simply doesn't know good food. Shame. Tombstone, despite its legend, is a dying town. The Longhorn is just another tourist trap with mediocre food.
Never ate there yet, was going to that night. Got there at 8:25, google says they close at 9pm. She said she closes at 8pm, she's trying to get it changed on Facebook. Well then why isn't it that way on google. Refusing us service before closing hours almost an hour before closing is pretty life depressing... So because of this I can now simply stay away from tombstone and let the many folks I run into on a daily basis the cons of that town and restaurants.. Unlike olive garden, they let us in at 9:02 Wow! They wer very happy to have us and our money that's for sure! Thank you olive garden your the best.
Great food and great prices. Waitress Meg is terrible!!!! Never had anyone take 1/2 the order and say they have to go be right back. 7 minutes later I had to get manager. When Meg came back she told us to hurry up and order. Inexcusable!!!
I went to two Longhorns so I'm not sure which one I'm reviewing here. The one in Tucson the Prime Rib was very fat and a little chewy. The one in Tumbstone it was good, get ten percent coupon at the Courthouse before you go.
I realized once I got in here and sat down that I had eaten here before several years back. It is a nice little restaurant off of the main drag of Tombstone. The menu has plenty of options and variety but the main fare is burgers, sandwiches, steak. You know Tombstone food. We had a table of 7 and every person at the table enjoyed their food. I had the Patty Melt, which is tasty and came with a boat load of fries. The server was awesome, totally on it despite the business and having more than a few tables. I ordered one of the signature cocktails (vodka/lemonade concoction) which was refreshing and delicious AND got me a souvenir hurricane glass at the end of the meal.
We ended up eating here at least three times. It has the most interesting menu. The service was not great. There were a couple of waiters that were not happy to be working there. There are some interesting things to take pictures of on the walls.
While vacationing in Tombstone, AZ we were enjoying taking in as many dining establishments as possible. We had a pleasant dining experience at the Longhorn Restaurant. Wait staff were attentive to our needs. We ordered a Chef's Salad and a Bleu Cheese Burger. Found the food very tasty.
I live locally (Cochise County) and I love this restaurant. I often drive over to Tombstone just to eat lunch here. I take every visitor that I have to eat here, as well. Great food and good service. I have been going here for years and plan to go for years to come.
They open for breakfast. Nice, serene, clean area with beautiful murals on the wall. They could benefit from a more lively ambience, with some music, such as their sister restaurant Big Nose Kate.
Our first visit, even tho we've been to Tombstone other times. Great food, real butter, large portions, wonderful service, thanks Rick you were there when we needed you with great suggestions and service but you did not hover and we appreciated that. Here we are a year later 1.3.2017 and NOT the same for food or service!!! We have a trip planned for next year about the same time, but this restaurant will not be a place we will be stopping at.
The woman that seated us seemed enthused to be there (sarcasm) and we waited 20 minutes without even asked what we wanted to drink when it wasn't even that busy. We tried closing our menus as a clue... nothing. We got fed up and left that place like a fart in the wind. The pictures on the wall aren't appropriate for children and the atmosphere was not impressive to say the least. Won't be back ever. I would highly suggest the Crystal Palace, which is directly across the street and way better. The place actually looks authentic and have great servers.
We're gone there many times.this was not a busy time but we never got half the food even after asking decal times, terrible waitress. Good not the usual quality either. I'll think twice before going back.
