Worst experience ever. Service at the bar was horrible. Food is way to over priced. White female bartender compete ignored me. After waiting forever for service, someone else finally took my order and when it was ready the female bartender ends up bringing me it, drops the plate next to me without say a word and walks away. This place deserves no stars. 👎🏾😤
Nice Waterfront diningunfortunately that's the only reason for 3 starstook quite a while for a waiter to even get to our table. The grouper was tasteless, like frozen breaded fillet. Would never go back. Much better options.
Great place to come for lunch. Sit at a table on the water and feed the beautiful fish!
There's plenty of dock space and a beautiful view (duh). Shrimp and grits will not disappoint, nor will the chocolate pancakes 🙊
Fun atmosphere, great service. Food was good but not amazing. We had margaritas (average run-of-the-mill "mix" margarita) and the stuffed shrimp. The shrimp were pretty small - so small that they just made a bed of ~5 shrimp and then put the stuffing (bread-based) on top. It was fine. Veggies were tasty and buttery, and rice and beans were good. Might return for the atmosphere which is fantastic - but overall this is a tourist joint, and $70 for 2 average dinners and 2 margaritas isn't really worth a return visit.
Macho chicken nachos was really the only thing that kept me coming to this restaurant all of a sudden they stop serving it with the shell for some reason it's pretty much a handful of chips two pieces of chicken and beans that's it I can make that at home why would you not tell the customer that you stop making it with the shell? Basically threw $13 in the toilet! Last time I take out! At least the calamari is still good.
Good atmosphere but the food is not very good. Went here for dinner and breakfast while in marathon. Had the BBQ shrimp for dinner and the jalapeño corned beef hash for breakfast. Both dishes were "Our Specialties". Both were great disappointments. The atmosphere is good though. Right on the gulf bay. A dock has fish swarming. Fun for kids.
The shrimp and seafood
As well as the Key lime pie were amazing
The service top self
Atmosphere fantastic.
That's quite a good seafood restaurant.
Thank you
We in one months time had
Lunches and dinners there 1/2'dozen times ..
Atmosphere is nice. Food for the price no where close. I recognize the keys. But when you order the grouper platter at 16.95 and get 2 pieces of 1/2 size fish and less than a handful of fries it's a joke. My kids ordered from the kids menu and they had more food than I did. Recommendation for patrons is to order a sandwich to obtain the amount of food to actually satisfy. Service was average. Better off to find yourself a hole in the wall where you get better and more food than covering the overhead of the establishment . What a waste of vacation money.
Everything we had was great!! Coconut shrimp with mango salsa! My husband said the black beans and rice with pineapple were excellent. All sauces are made in house and are very good. Ray was our server, and he made the experience wonderful! Nice area outside to watch the sunset too! Do yourself a favor and stop by while you're down in Marathon.
We were seated right away, service was prompt & so was our food. The food was phenomenal & the atmosphere was excellent, as well. Our waiter was Nicolai & not only was he right there to take very good care of us, he was hilarious & interacted with our large group of adults & kids so well! We'll definitely come back here to eat the next time we're in the Keys & we'll recommend this place to family & friends!
First, don't believe what some of the locals will tell you about the food at this place. It's really good and we only had one bad dish eating here 3 times during our stay. The view is the best of any place on the north side of Marathon. My gold Margarita was good, but still doesn't beat the ones I'm used to at the VIP in Treasure Island. Breakfast was great and they have this thick, Texas style toast that rocks. Service at the bar was excellent. Ask for Rochelle or if she's not there, "RunsHomeALot" (that's her tribal name). Definitely worth the stop.
3 important things in restaurants. 1. Food was excellent. 2. Place was clean, nice views. 3. Service WITH A SMILE would've made it the best. Not one employee smiled or acted like they even wanted to be there. Greeted and taken to our table by a hostess with the manners of a rock. Waitress was ok but not very pleasant. Watched the rest of employees and they all acted as though they wanted to be somewhere else. Tips usually are based on attitude. 10% was given when I personally ALWAYS tip 20-25%.
We had breakfast there this morning and it was great. Loved their pancakes with real blueberries. Sausage very good too. My friends loved their breakfasts. Victor, our waiter was very attentive, as were other staff.
My friends ate there last night and said they had a great dinner. They said the oysters were very good, as was her pasta and his dolphin francais.
As for service; I knocked over my water and they had 3 people cleaning the table and floor in seconds.
Love the openness of the place also. Give it a try and ask for Victor or Rose.
Right on the water, tons of cool fish, birds, and even wild lobsters! The food was also big and delicious! The wait wasn't very long at all for one of these resturuants and our waitress, I think her name was Robin, was very nice. The ONLY negative was that my lemonade was more ice than lemonade but they will happily come and refill your drink at any time. I'm also sure they would have removed the extra ice had I asked, but it didn't bother me enough for me to ask. Over all a great place!
