  So I wasn't going to write a review because I usually don't. But I have to share my horrible visit last week to Home Depot in Lake Geneva. I was in the plumbing department looking for some pipe fittings for under the sink. I ran into a gentleman named Tom S. As I started talking about what I needed help with, he made horrible vulgar and rude comments and jokes to me. While also staring at me in a way that made me feel very uncomfortable. I stated that I don't need help anymore and he seemed to not care about anything I said. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day or if he is always like this. But beware of this man in the plumbing department!! UGH!!

  this place is horrible.. good luck trying to talk to some of these people on the phone. if you are working in a department you should have knowledge of that department. home depot has gone downhill. lets hire people who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about....ill be going to lows

  Really wish they wouldn't have gotten rid of their doorbell testing area. It was nice to be able to check out all of the various doorbell sounds. Yes, they were quite loud and probably annoying to the staff but how else are you going to know which doorbell to choose? With my luck I'd get home, spend the time installing it, only to find out it plays taps. Not going to ding them a star for that though, they might have moved it and I just haven't been able to find it yet. Plus I like taking selfies in the kitchen displays. Social media friends think I have a really nice kitchen. Thinking about doing family photos in the garden center this spring. Love this place!

  So my Husband and I are looking at flooring, wanted to reach up and feel the seams of Lifeproof flooring. We have 1,600 square foot to floor. Mind you I did stand on the stack to try and feel the seams, however, no one was around to help. A man who works there, scolded me down, of which I apologized and then I attempted to ask him how this flooring seams together. His harsh response “This just slips into here” Well no kidding, I want a good example please and after the short demoralizing answer, he just left us there. So, guess what? Lowe’s wins. I will not purchase at Home Depot on principle. This poor treatment on my 55th Birthday like I was a moron is uncalled for and hardly customer service!

  If you want the s@#% scared out of you by an enormous and viciously barking rottweiler in the middle of the store hanging out with the employees, visit this store. If you enjoy peace and safety in a public retail environment, try Lowes or Dunn Lumber.

  Greeted immediately by a friendly employee who told me where to pick up my on-line order. Employee at service desk take care of me soon as he was done with another customer. Other employees were helpful also.

  I will never shop at Home Depot again. After selecting 2 appliances that were available upon inquiry on Friday (6/30) afternoon, I had decided to buy a new Kitchen-Aid Fridge & Whirlpool Dishwasher from the Lake Geneva Home Depot. I returned to the LG store on Saturday (7/1) of the big HOLIDAY SALE weekend to finalize the sale, after shopping at Best Buy, Lyle's, & Lowe's. Appliance Salesman Andrew was nice enough, but now I have verified that he gave me bogus info about price matching the 11% rebate that was advertised & available down the road at Lowe's. He printed off the "Get your 11% Match Rebate" form, & told me that the Lowe's advertised promotion would be honored because I asked for it as a price match from their competitor to save more money. He said it was a well-advertised discount that Home Depot would match to get my business. The print-off reports that I had 30 days after purchase to file online & complete the rebate request. Of course I have learned now that the Lowe's rebate will not work at the HomeDepot website, & would not be honored, even after calling & explaining to the Rebate REP that the store salesman, Andrew, said the competitor's rebate would be honored. The telephone customer service REP said I should have verified that with a manager! DO NOT BELIEVE what the salesman tells you; no wonder that so many have a bad reputation... :-(

  If you know what you want and where to find it, it's a good place. However, in 3 visits within 24 hours, 2 people "helping" me really had no clue whatsoever.

  This place is the worst. On multiple occasions the staff has given me wrong information and directed me to the wrong product. The don't know what there're talking about. The other day I purchased a grill online for store pickup thinking it would be quicker. I waited all day to receive a notification that the pickup was ready and nothing. So I canceled the order to buy it elsewhere and they charged my account anyway.

  Refinished my basement this winter and used home depot primarily for all material. As a tip to anyone starting a new peoject, sign up for a free pro membership to get great coupons. The staff at this location is great, Tom in plumbing gave me the confidence to do my plumbing job and checking out with Tina in the pro area is always a pleasure.
