Amazing location, but beware that they will close and lock the gate on you, even if you're 100 feet away driving directly towards it minutes before official closing time. This occurred a couple months ago.

Swampy. But great place to learn and watch the birds there, and it is a beautiful place, but too many mosquitos there.

This was a great walk. Quiet, peaceful & a lot to look at. It's about a mile around the board walk. I don't think anyone has updated the walk in a while but its still safe. Easy access, easy walk and great place for thw family or to just be alone. Took two 7 year old's with me and they thought it was amazing.

Way cool! Perfect place to take younger kids, elderly people, or handicapped people! The board walk is level, not very long and wheelchair accessible. Very beautiful and simple.

This is a really fun walk. They have a cool tower you can climb up and see the great salt lake from. It is a pretty short walk, only takes 30minutes to an hour. Well kept boardwalks surround it. Sometimes the gate is closed to vehicle traffic, but you can just walk around it.

What a great place! I love the boardwalk and the lookout towers. Sunsets are very nice. Just remember to pack the bug spray.

Great place to visit and see wild birds. Not far from Farmington Bay Refuge.

The Shorelands Preserve is a beautiful place to get out and stretch your legs for a short 1.5 mile loop around the marshlands. The boardwalk is wheelchair accessible and provides decent views of the area. There are numerous interpretive signs to explain the ecology of the salt lake marshes. If you are lucky you will get to see a decent number of the birds that are detailed in the signage. Great free activity for the family.

Great family walk. No pets allowed(which makes since cause it's for bird watching). Restrooms are decent flush toilets. It's getting older and the board walk seems to be getting a little dry and cracked but still plenty safe and well build. I would recommend. We generally visit a few times every year.
