  After a large wind storm, we often get calls from neighborhoods to inspect their trees for damage.   This last winter Colorado had a record year of heavy storms rolling through the front range unexpectedly. With the spring thawing out wintering roots and buds, the winter storms hit previously stressed neighborhood trees. Many of those trees snapped, fell or were blown over effecting more than just the landscape. In this shot the Earnest Chop was removing a storm damaged pine tree from the roof of a house.

  With January and February predicted to be the coldest from the Farmer...s Almanac and the winter expected to be a Polar Coaster. Where temperatures will fluctuate between cold and warm. This winter will be very stressful on all Colorado trees. To help mitigate winter damage the Colorado State Forest service recommends trimming our trees before the winter months swing by.
