    DO NOT COME HERE!!
Came here to rescue a dog, found the perfect pooch had everything set up. Went as far as the introduction, meet and greet, payment arraignment, as well as a time to pick up the dog, and made sure no one else was interested. The person I dealt with swore up and down that no one showed interest in her, and to make sure she was a right fit I WENT DOWN THERE MORE THAN TWICE to play with her and interact to see how her temperament was. Although she was a rescue, I asked if she was a certain type of dog (even though it’s a rescue, strong traits showed of a certain dog) Again, the staff said she was “xyz”. SHE WASNT WHAT THE STAFF SAID EVEN THOUGH IT BLATANTLY STATED IT IN HER FILE!!
The next day I called because I was told I would get a call in the morning to set up a pick up time. Long story short, the dog was set up with another potential owner that I wasn’t notified about and that if I still wanted the dog if they didn’t take her, I could come back and get her?!?! That’s why I didn’t get called in the morning. I called and complained and basically management said the “dog house” and “adoption/rescue” were 2 separate agencies even though they operated under the same roof! Got my hopes and dreams up of rescuing this poor puppy in all reality I had no shot....horrible establishment!!!

That was just the rescue portion, the “store” reeked if pure animal feces and urine. The poor dogs were locked up in tiny cages and slept in their waste due to the sizing of the cages. For “purebred” dogs and well maintained, I can go to the local dog shelter where they are treated and housed better!

This is the worst place to buy a dog just bought a new puppy 2 months ago and now come to find out she has failing liver and kidneys past down from the mother we were told she had a clean bill of health. By their vets. They are liers who are just looking for a quick buck and I hope no one makes the mistake of buying a dog here.

I adopted a dog from there 5 months ago that I had been visiting for a month. When first meeting her she was a happy/healthy looking dog that just came in from the south. I had filled out an application but she came down with a bad case of kennel cough & could not be adopted. (I visited her for the next couple weeks & brought my fiance but he said no cause we just bought a house & she was to big). They offered to let me foster her for a week as a trial run but the day I went to pick her up, I ended up in the hospital for a week with no cell phone. The day after I got out of the hospital I went to tell them I couldn't have her (she was finally cleared by the vet to be adopted but she was still locked away in isolation away from other dogs & ppl) when they brought her out she was skin/fur & bones. You could see the bones from the rib cage & spine. She was well over 20 lbs under weight, had patches of missing fur, zero energy & was very weak. I took her home against my fiance's wishes cause I couldn't leave her there another day. 2 meals & 3 walks a day & she gained all her weight back, grew out her lovely fur coat & is a much happier dog but I still can't keep her (she hates other dogs from a fight she got into at the dog house, she's mouthy with everyone including my kids (ages 2 & 12), is to rough with our beloved cat & I can't afford the professional training she needs to break her of all these bad habits). Still I do not regret getting her out of that place. She is a sweet, beautiful dog & will end up in the best home possible. What they did to her was cruelty to animals & I'm surprised they are still in business.

They cleaned it up a bit based off of older reviews. Our dogs was in better health than we expected her to be. The dogs do need to be saved from this place.

I popped in there today while I was at the Christmas tree shop. It didn't look dirty to me it actually was pretty clean and it didn't smell like piss either. The cages were just like the ones I have at home for my dogs and just like any cage you would buy in a pet store. Not actually wire. The puppies are adorable and looked clean. You have to sanitize your hands before you play with them. I didn't buy a dog because I already have two otherwise I would in a heartbeat. They need homes just like any other animal. All the bad feedback on here will hurt their chances of finding a home. If your looking for a dog go check them out before listening to this bad feedback. I'm not an employee of this place nor do I know the owner or any of the employees. I was just a curious person who was shopping next door. All these babies need homes so if you can give one of them a loving home then go see them. By the way the place was busy and there were people there buying dogs.

I read some of the comments before I went to the dog house, but after going there I felt the comments were OVER-RATED. There were some cons in this place but they also had pros. Cons: The place smells awful, the dogs are costly except the rescues, and you are not allowed to take photos. Pros: The had a pretty decent sized collection of dogs, and if you are interested in one they allow you to interact and touch it. Most of the dogs their were active and seemed healthy.

I was next door Guitar Center decided to stop in, you're hit with a strong urine scent immediately walking in worse than any shelter I've been to.. the puppies are on wire crates which is normal with no beds. some of them had a small blanket. There are no video handwritten signs everywhere, I snapped one pic though I will post later .
one very small cage with 2 pups crammed in was pooping on top of their only blanket (more like washcloth) and the employee stopped and watched and just walked away.
This is also the only place I've seen will ALLOW MONTHLY PAYMENTS FOR A LIVING ANIMAL. So what happens if you miss a payment? You tear that poor dog away from its home?
This is why the real shelters are packed they're charging pedigree prices for puppy mill dogs.
If you can afford to save one of their dogs please do as they deserve much better environments than this "store"
The dog I rescued from the packed New Haven Animal Shelter had better living conditions... please consider looking in the shelters when buying a new pet
** if they remove my picture I'll be back to take more wish I had today**

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ ALL. This place needs to be shut down. I came down to this business today to conduct an investigation due to all of the concerning reviews. When I came in I immediately came face to face with tiny cells with wired bottoms, and tiny rag for a "bed". When I asked why they didn't have beds the women had no response except that I should donate one...as if this is a rescue...and by the way, yes there is a rescue section in the back of their store, almost seems like it's hidden because they do not make profit off of those dogs. Both sides were dirty and depressing. The woman who works there (and purchases the dogs) was extremely rude and defensive when I started to ask about where the puppies come from. She then claimed the store was "transparent" (but you are not allowed to take pictures in the store? I wonder why). She then showed me to a large binder full of USDA approved inspections from the breeders they purchased from and what I read in some of these approved breeders was horrifying. An APPROVED breeder was said to have an extremely filthy, disease spreading facility with 90 animals. Does this not sound like a mill to you? This just one of many. The positive reviews on here are fake. These are friends and parents are of the employees who work there. These puppies are sick and need a rescue that will provide adequate medical care before finding good forever homes. Listen, I know these dogs are cute and you feel bad for them to have to live there but PLEASE adopt from a reputable rescue center. Your money will go towards putting an end to the cruelty of these dogs instead of feeding this horrible cycle of commercial breeding. PLUS in return you will get a HEALTHY companion that won't cost you thousands of dollars in vet bills.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. THE DOG YOU GET WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE PARASITES. WE PURCHASED A YORKIE THAT WAS SICK SHE HAD A HERNIA PARASITES AND A UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION. THE DOGG HOUSE OFCOURSE DENIED KNOWLEDGE OF HER SICKNESS. ITS SAD THAT THIS PLACE STILL PUMPS OUT PUPPIES AND ISNT CLOSED DOWN FOR GOOD. Do yourself a favor and really search for a good breeder of the dog you want. Hopefully someone will read this and make a better choice.

My friend bought a dog here. As soon as he got it home, realized it was very sick. Took the dog straight to the vet and died two days later.

Don't even consider buying a dog here. Check the news articles about this place.

Do not bother. Rescue your dog from a credited and actual source. This place is on the verge of being shut down , just like their shop was in Massachusetts. Sounds like owner dick needs to find a new venture for business cause this is not very promising especially with so many human beings against the cruelty he continues to endure on these innocent animals. And all for his own profit.

Do not purchase a dog from here, there's a 99.999% chance it's already a sick dog before u purchase it.

If you're smart and want to still buy a dog from this business-- HAVE YOUR OWN PERSONAL VET DO A CHECK UP PRIOR TO PURCHASE (pay your vet to goto this shop to do a in house check up, owners should be happy and willing to allow this hence they're already awful reputation). Be smart with your thousands of $$$

The dogs are housed in tiny pens with barely room to move around. They pee where they stand, which makes potty training more difficult. Dogs were lonely, anxious and scared. The rescue side is simply a way to make the sale of puppy mill pups justified.
