Great chocolate, but I've never been thrilled with the service, which could definitely be improved.

If you are looking for a fine place to share some decadence with a special someone, to enjoy delectable desserts with friends or simply to indulge in chocolate, this is the place for you! The Chocolate Room has rich hot chocolate, decadent chocolate cakes, and superb truffles. Check it out! You will not be sorry, well perhaps your waist line might be but your taste buds certainly won't.

First and foremost yes it's pricey, even for the area. BUT if you can get past that (you're in NYC, you ought to get past that now) the chocolates are divine and choices are never ending. The matcha chocolates were wonderful and I was especially a fan of the lavender chocolates as well. Get a mixed box of a dozen or so and try them all- it's definitely worth it to find a favorite.

I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, however this place was amazing. I had a warm chocolate brownie with madagascar vanilla ice cream, fudge syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. The music was perfect, not obnoxiously loud. Staff was incredibly attentive and hospitable. I LOVED my entire experience. I'll be back!

Delicious and moist chocolate cake . The best I've had. Saved a piece for my to try and he is asking for more. Now we know where to go to satisfy our chocolate sweet tooth. 👍

This is such a unique place that my wife and I have loved coming to for a long time. She loves the chocolate cake and hot chocolate. I love the chocolate sorbet. It also has a very nice atmosphere.

A paradise for chocolate lovers. Prices are a bit high so be ready to spend some money here. Not overly price but definitely enough to leave a dent in your wallet. Well worth the price

UGH THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL. A wonderful late night spot in a casual slightly romantic atmosphere. Everything is delicious. You can't go wrong with their menu there is something for everyone. Great service!

Chocolate lovers get ready. The Chocolate Room has it all. From nice fancy chocolate bars from Ecuador and Peru to decadent chocolate truffles to ice cream to cakes to cookies to hot chocolate, there is nothing chocolate that you can't find here. The people working here are very friendly and accommodating. I made my own ice cream cookie sandwich and basically got one of their chocolate chip cookies with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top. Their dark hot chocolate is very rich - definitely worth sharing with someone.

This place is amazing! If you simply want to purchase items they have a great selection that includes commercial items and home made treats. The restaurant is also fabulous. Over the years I think I've tried everything except a milkshake. Not once have I been disappointed. They also have specials that rock. They get VERY crowded on weekends. Afternoons are packed with children, do beware of you want a romantic date. They only disappointment I have had is with ordering items in the summer to be shipped. Chocolate does not care well on the heat.
