Buyer beware, OVERPRICED, staff is rude and this store provides no Customer Service. Returned an item and no refund, just store credit and they didn't include sales tax. I live out of state and won't be back I told them, but still they kept my money and handed me a paper with a store credit. In other words, they stole my money! Good luck if you shop there.
I was in Utah on business and decided to stop in this boutique. The staff is far from warm or friendly. I was not sure if it was because I am black but it felt like it. I found a sweater I really liked there but decided not to buy it because of the chilly atmosphere.
This was the second time we have gone to Children's Hour and the first experience was wonderful which is why we went back!! This last experience was very unpleasant!! The ladies were very Rude and our entire experience they were right next to us watching. Then when we checked out they put outfits together on One hanger but the prices were per individual item!! Frequent customers may be aware of this but I want others to be aware so you are not unpleasantly surprised. Although the sales associate/owner did offer to return the items I had fallen in love and decided to pay the price. We went to Children's Hour for those special outfits you can't find anywhere else for my granddaughters and I usually spend $500. The associates made us feel very unwelcome and unfortunately we won't be back. This experience was unfortunate because I prefer to shop local and will now be finding a different store.
It's expensive but there is a huge, diverse selection of toys and books here.
I love my dresses and shoes I bought from The Children's Hour. Great designer selection and high quality apparel.
An absolute must stop whenever we go home to visit SLC! It is tasteful, unique and unexpected. The store is perfectly curated with a treasure (or 100) for all who enter. Everything whether it be the merchandising down to the gift wrapping is expertly detailed and put together is stunningly beautiful way. They have incredibly unique gifts, books, jewels, shoes and toys for you and your loved ones. I am continually impressed with each visit to this establishment. Now please open a store in Santa Fe so I can visit everyday!
I absolutely love this store. Although we do not have children, nor do we intend to, we still shop here all the time. There is a huge selection for adults including quirky and unique gift items. The staff always gives great customer service.
I love the Children's Hour! My girls love it and so do my grandchildren. We love their books and toys and especially their clothes. I really like their street parking--I've always found a spot and it's the only store where I can run in, buy books for a baby gift, have them beautifully wrapped, and be out in 10 minutes.
Some of the clothing and shoes are more expensive than the mall, but they're classic and unusual. They still look good and wear well 10 years plus, and the staff is always helpful and pleasant, even when I choose not to buy anything.
If you like beautiful and unique clothes or gifts, the Children's Hour is well worth your visit.
Don't let the name fool you . . . It's one of THE best individually curated shops I've ever seen with something unique for every age!! As chain stores regularly replace fun, unusual boutiques, this is the place to buy keepsakes, memorable gifts, unusual shoes and clothes you love and timeless jewelry - to say nothing of the best book selection ever. I call it a field trip when I go because you always find a new must-have treasure. This place is a jewel!!
