Full service restaurant. On the second floor above Harpoon Harry's in Fisherman's Village. Large parking lot out front but a little walk from there. Reservations are advised. Piano bar is set off to the side. Elevator is available. Enjoy fine wines or cocktails with fresh great food. Moderate cost.
We had a great meal. The service was fast and food was delicious. The restaurant has been renovated and it is very nice inside. The view is wonderful. I would recommend it for a nice dinner on the water.
We went here for their Thanksgiving buffet and we were pleasantly surprised. We weren't expecting much to be honest as we were all missing a home made meal, but ended up really enjoying ourselves. The food was pretty good, their calamari salad and ham was amazing. The shrimp tasted fresh, and the food we had was all warm and plentiful. Our server was very friendly and we had a great view of the water at our table. We did go early around 3:30, and once we left at about 4:45, there was a huge line at the buffet and at the door. I definitely would recommend showing early. Overall we had a good experience and if we're away from home for the holidays, I would come back here for our Thanksgiving dinner.
-One is not an option, we had the worst Thanksgiving dinner, we had a reservation for 5pm and did not get seated for 35+ minutes but that's not the bad part. We have eaten Thanksgiving dinner before and the food was great, not this year less food, and it was all cold, veggies, potato, stuffing, turkey... It had no flavor to it at all. The bread on the table was as hard as a rock...told the waitress and she said that all that was left. Ok I will eat cheesecake but that was still frozen and I was So Over This Dinner.
Nice dinner on the ocean. My son said it felt like we were moving. The grouper was delicious. Those shrimp was too! Not many can make good slaw, but I really enjoyed the slaw at Harpoon Harry's! Great service with a smile!
Went to Captain’s Table tonight. First off I must say we were very disappointed to learn that the seafood buffet was no longer available on Friday night (we learned this several weeks ago) but we thought we would give it a try since they remodeled. The remodel was much nicer than the old look. The food not so much! There was a price increase in the entrees, there were not very many choices as before, and the portions were small considering the price and the food was mediocre! The service was very slow and the place was not crowded by any means. Took 30 minutes for the waitress to pick up our payments! Needless to say we were very disappointed and will probably not go back. Our table had 4 different entrees and we all were disappointed in the food, the portions and the price. We use to frequent quite often considering the drive to get there but that will not be happening again! We don’t mind paying for a good meal but the food was not that great. Maybe they should go back to the “old Captain’s Table”. Very disappointed!
The food was very good, however, the service was really not there. We had a disabled person with a walker, and although there were larger tables available on the upper level, they were not available to us (table of 6), and we were a group of 4. We had to go down stairs to a table for 4 which was difficult with a walker, definitely no consideration for a disabled person. During the evening management became aware of the situation, and yet nothing was done. Several of those tables of 6 were never used while we were there. We won't be back, there are many other restaurants in the area that are happy to help a disabled person
Good food so we have it a second try after the worst service (we thought) because you can't beat the view. BUT THE SECOND TIME WAS WORSE. What a shame. This should be one of our favorites in Punta Gorda but the food is only good a and the service was so awful. We will never be back to this one. First and only one star review I have ever given. If you like other people's lipstick and your cup of coffee and want your hubby to go scrounge for silverware and everything else... This is the place for you!
The food was good. The beer was warm. The views and atmosphere was great. The service was horrendous. Our waitress was unfriendly and acted as if we were a bother. We wanted to purchase 2 Tee-shirts. Our waitress told us to purchase them at the bar. The bartender told us to see our waitress. We went BACK to the waitress and she refused to sell us two shirts. Needless to say we left without being able to purchase two shirts. VERY disappointed!
We have always enjoyed Harpoon Harry's. Great burgers, beers and service. Exceptional sunset complete with dolphins.
Great Philly Steak sandwich. Fish & Chips are good too. Beautiful view of Peace River. Boats can dock & dine. Multiple television s throughout for sports.Couch seating area, pool table, air hockey table & a couple video games. Two bars & many dining tables. Live music some nights. Loved by tourists & local alike.
You're paying for the view, and it's worth it. I had the stuffed grouper, menu says it's stuffed with lump blue crab, it was not. It was stuffed with crabcake mixture, which in my opinion is not the same. The service is wonderful, very friendly, our server even climbed on a chair to raise the blinds so weer could get a better picture of the sunset. It's a shame the grouper was overcooked and disappointing. The orange cake is wonderful!
Our place to go for special occasions. Made a birthday reservation for dinner April 8th at 7:00. Arrived about 6:45 and was promptly seated with menus on the deck as requested. At 7:00 we requested a wine list which arrived about 7:10. The waitress passed by us several times to the only table near us. At 7:20 we left never having been served anything but menus. We enjoyed a nice dinner at The Village Fish Market Saturday evening.
Disappointing to say the least.
We Moved here recently and was told this was a place to go with an amazing view of the Peace River but the food was so-so.
Well, the Chilean Sea bass I had was the best I have ever had!!!! The pricing was on spot for the elegant dining we experienced.
The only negative was it wasn't quite handicapped friendly in the areas we dined near the water.
I am still giving it a 5 star because of the food & service. Our waiter was excellent!!! I believe his name was Ari.
