Good German food, not great. Good atmosphere, but more pub like, than restaurant quality. Reasonable prices. If you want a German pub experience, then this the place for you.

Great food, great beer selection. Service was pretty good for a fully packed night. Well worth the half hour wait.

About 250 beers on the menu. Has wonderful German and European food. I had the pork shank, which is like 3.5 pounds of bone in pork goodness. Crispy. Wonderful. The menu description warns diners that the size and appearance of the bone-in pork shank could be alarming. I say, delicious. Get it.

Great food, good beer. Awesome kids and veggie options.
Downsides - the food is all pretty heavy, the lights are always dim, and it's really loud.
Overall, it's a nice destination, just not a good option for intimate meals.

Go try their October fest and you will not be disappointed and will go back for more. I signed up for their newsletter and get invites to beer tapping parties, all so good they cannot be explained in words. We normally get sausage platter and roasted pork, they are both to die for. We bring other people here and they all seem to enjoy the food and service too.

The German Sausage platter is delicious and fills you up! Chicken schnitzel gives 2 giant breaded chicken breast that can feed 2 people. Server was very friendly and helpful with descriptions of the food. Didn't wait long for the food to come out of the kitchen from the time the server took our order. Will be eating here again.

I could go on and onbut it would be quicker just to recommend you go here. From food to service to decor, it's a wonderful dining experience.

I can really appreciate this place nowadays. In an era when restaurant speak the right words. Saying things like farm to fork, organic, etc, etc. So many of these places don't have proper technique. It's nice to see the Bavarian Lodge is doing things right.

My wife & I Love this place. It is a very comfortable place to enjoy dinner & a cocktail. It is never too hot or too cold in the bar area. Bartenders Jason & Tyler are awesome. Always an amazing beer selection & the pork shank crispy is the best.

Came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. The decor is pretty unique (I want to say very German, but that might be stereotyping the restaurant); we sat at one of the high top tables. Because it was so crowded, our service was slow, which was unfortunate.

The beer selection was huge! Everything on the menu looked great. The pretzel basket was fantastic; we didn't have enough room to also get the breaded cheddar cheese curds (but I imagine they're pretty good). All of us got the combo and choose some variety of Schnitzel (the beef and pork one was the best), and a brat. The German potato salad was really good, but if you don't like vinegar then you probably won't like it. The applesauce was amazing; may be my favorite part of the meal.

Overall great food, atmosphere, just a bit too crowded at times (slows down service).

Absolutely fantastic German restaurant. Features homemade sausages and other traditional German fare. Bavarian Lodge also has an impressive selection of world beers, and a great amount on tap. Make sure to get there early, as they fill up quickly.

This restaurant WAY EXCEEDED our expectations!! The food was excellent,
very very good. Huge portions. Our server Kristina was great!! All 4 of us that were there will be back again!! I had the Chicken Schnitzel (the best breading I've ever had) my husband had the Beef Stroganoff, he said it was tender, gravy was great and it was the best he's ever had.
We finished it with the Apple Strudel which was also excellent!! Was very happy and had enough left over for lunch tomorrow 👍.
We will be back again and again!!

Came in for dinner on a Sunday night after some heavy shopping at the Aurora Outlets with 8 coworkers. They wouldn't let us be seated until the entire party was there, but that's nothing new with a lot of restaurants. Service was great. The server didn't write down a single order, which was a little worrying at first; but he didn't miss a single things (except for one person's water refill). Food's always been great for the 20 years I've been coming here. Beer selection was far above par, as always. You can't really go wrong, just blindly point at the menu; unless you don't like beer. Lightweights may have problems, as nothing tastes very strong but is usually in the 8-13% range. No problems with split bills either.
