    *Patient Spotlight*

Meet Bronco, a recently retired K9 Officer, and one of Dr. Yeamans patient's here at AMSC!

(A retirement letter from Officer Berner #K669)

    ...

Bronco has had a distinguished career with the Chandler Police Department as a dual purpose, Patrol/ Narcotics K9 for over 5 years of service, starting in June 2012. Bronco was imported from the Netherlands bly Adlerhorst International, in California, where he was purchased by the Chandler Police Department. Bronco has had a distinguished career with the Chandler Police Department as a dual purpose, Patrol/ Narcotics K9 for over 5 years of service, starting in June 2012. Bronco was imported from the Netherlands by Adlerhorst International, in California, where he was purchased by the Chandler Police Department.

Bronco worked the road with two different K9 handlers, both of which appreciated his loyalty to police work. During his career Bronco has located large quantities of narcotics, numerous apprehensions of suspects, and uncovered many crucial pieces of evidence during article searches.

One of K9 Bronco’s last major finds was a murder weapon used in a homicide, discarded by the suspect fleeing from the victim’s home. More than 15 to 20 officers searched the neighborhood looking for the handgun, to no avail. K9 Bronco was called in to assist in the search. Bronco located the handgun, in a short period of time, solidifying the case against the suspect. Bronco had won the respect of his fellow officers and will always be remembered as a devoted partner willing to put his life first, and fierce opponent to anyone seeking to do harm to others in the City of Chandler.

Please join us in saying THANK YOU to K9 Bronco for his years of service!

Angus would like to remind everyone that as we approach the hottest season in Arizona - please keep in mind summer safety for your fur family! Here are some great reminders for pet owners!

Keep your pets indoors when possible Limit outdoor exercise to early morning or evening Avoid long walks, hikes or excessive play... Provide pets with extra, cool water sources Consider dog booties for hot pavement Play in sprinklers or a kiddie pool Never tie and leave your pet unattended

Is it too hot to walk? TEST IT! Hold your bare foot on the ground for 7 seconds. If it's too hot for bare feet, it's too hot for bare paws!

    *Thursday Case Spotlight*

Hi there! My Name is Zoey and I'm a 4 year old French Bulldog that loves long walks and delicious meals. Last week my back legs decided they didn't want to work and I started having some back pain. My mom took me to see the Neurology team at the ANIC. After a spinal MRI, it turns out I had a herniated disc in my lumbar spine that needed a-fixing. So, we all decided that surgery was the best option for me to get back to normal. I wasn't scared or anything, because I knew I would have all the attention and love from the wonderful staff. Surgery went off without a hitch! I am now ambulatory and on my way to making a full recovery!

    *Thursday's Case Spotlight*

My name is Holly and I'm 15.5 years young. I went to see my neurology friends because I started having facial twitching. Dr. Yeamans has started me on some new medications and is going to work with my other doctors to get me all fixed up!
