Chicken was really good. Don't know why they're menu calls it fajita flavored. It's not. It has a real authentic smoked on the grill flavor. It's moist and way good.

Went back to Texas Reds expecting a good steak. We had been there several years before and had gotten adequate steaks and service. NOT Last Night! WE were told there would be an approx 45 minute wait. One hour and 45 mins later we were taken to a table. I ordered the 18 oz NY Strip and my wife ordered the large prime rib. She ordered the large thinking it would be easier to get it medium rather than over cooked.
The waitress, Cam, was cheerful and provided adequate service. The steaks came out. Her prime rib was a dry piece of meat almost devoid of any marbling or fat. NO juice whatsoever on the plate. My NY strip came out overcooked (charred) on the ends and medium WELLl in the middle. Neither steak could have been prime or even choice cuts of meat. Both steaks were TOUGH, almost too much so to eat. We got take home boxes for both steaks. (The dogs got a 15 oz of the prime rib and about 10 oz of my NY Strip.) I almost felt guilty giving them such a poor dinner. We anticipate NEVER going back to Texas Reds. Such a disappointment! The prices were OK if the steaks had been good. They were not!

I've eaten steak at a lot of high end joints. This was as good or better than any of them for a bargain. Less than$40 for a large rib eye of this quality is hard to find. Highly recommend. Service was good as well. Not to mention the good live music. Based on one great meal here I recommend.

Ordered my steak burger well-done. It was medium rare and dry. The bun with it was dry. Had fried okra as a side dish, and it had obviously been dumped out of a bag of frozen breaded okra. My husband had an elk burger, ordered medium and received well done. The bun was dry. My friend had a salad, and said it was really good. It looked fresh and smelled good. The prices were high, but we had expected that. Service was pretty good, but not outstanding. I came here a year ago, and had a very good filet mignon. If you avoid the burgers and okra, you will probably have a good meal.

Five star steakhouse prices for four star food and service. The food is good. It's really good...but if you want steak, it's $36. Ouch. If you want Bacardi and coke...$9 for a standard (not very big) glass. Also ouch. I got an elk burger and it arrived very rare- dark red. I sent it back and they got it cooked to medium pretty quickly. It was delicious for sure, but also expensive, as everything is extra. service is good- but it isn't above and beyond.
There is also a live band every single night. Seven days a week. If you've had a long day hiking in the mountains, the band will seem extra loud. Thankfully, there was only one guy on the guitar and we asked for a seat far away from him so it wasn't too loud. Thankfully there wasn't someone wailing on the drums like I've been told there is.
Ultimately, I enjoyed Texas Red's but man, since when was it so expensive?

Great ambience with a fun, loud band. Great waitress, very fun and friendly. We LOVED the filet, it was probably the very best we've ever had!!!!! It was $33.00 but worth every bite!

Good food and atmosphere. Only downside is that they do not take reservations and that they did not have enough wait staff. Many empty tables but the wait was almost 50 minutes for a table

After a long day of skiing on the snowy mountains of Red River, my tummy be rumblin! As a party of 8 on vacation; we needed a break from kitchen duties. Steakhouse? Hell yeah!..... No. Not hell yeah. Though the waitress was friendly, and the pretzel-like bread rolls were delightful, the wait was nearly 2 hours before we were served. Hot tea that was ordered was so cold it would not steep. (Meaning they literally cannot boil water correctly). The burger on the kids menu does not come with bun; no exceptions (whaaa?). All food was subpar but one steak was even cold to the touch. Soooo, long wait, cold steak, cold "hot" tea, over priced meals, unstasfied rumblin' tummy. We will not return.

I really loved this place!!! The 10oz rib eye steak was delicious and cooked to perfection!! Drinks prices are a bit pricey, but what do you expect from a good restaurant? Service was on point as well.

Arrived at out table and waited. We received menus and waited. We ordered the New York Strip medium rare and a fillet medium well. Then we really waited. Over An hour into the process our food came. The steakes were cooked the opposite of how we ordered them. We waited so long before the waiter came back so decided to swap meals .... When he did make it back it was understood what had happened and he offered to recook the meat. Really? A long time to late. The manager, a Spanish Woman with a chip on her shoulder and a boisterous voice came over. I began by showing her my steak and telling her that was supposed to be medium rare. Before I had the chance to finished telling her what had happened she interrupted me and told me that steak was medium rare! I explained to her it is very specific on the menu medium rare has a red warm center and this steak is not red and it is not even pink! She refused to acknowledge the steak was medium well and refused to take some off our bill for our meal. She got so loud some ladies, obviously locals, came to our table to see what the problem was an immediately blamed us for the restaurants down falls .... I have never been treated with such disrespect and treated like I was an idiot when it comes to what constitutes the difference between rare and well done ...
