Beutiful, peaceful, and quiet. Very nice trails, both through woods and fields. What more could a park need?
Well kept hiking trails with hills. Only had a short amount of time but will definitely be back
Great park with large open fields. Great for wildlife viewing. They have an amazing amount of bunnies that live there lol. The longest trail is roughly a 3 mile loop...on the Holland activity center side of the park. Additional trails are also accessable from the other side of Tatum Park off red Hill road across from deep cut gardens. There is also a small playground area for the kids on that side, along with a bathroom inside the building.
For a hike signage was poor. Trail offshoots that weren't clear. And the trail we did, Indian Springs, was barely clear at points.
Fun nature trails and some lead to beautiful meadows.
Great little playground with lots of shade and picnic table for not doing work on the laptop while kiddo plays. 😏
🚨 Just check for ticks! 🚨
Found one on my boot the other day, and we weren't even on the trails, just in the rubber covered playground area.
This is a great place for a mental break. I stopped here on a whim and ended up spending two hours.
There are lots of little (short) trails to explore that are interconnected; each has its charm.
Dog Wood is beautiful and quaint, lots of great smells and sounds. It was short, but my favorite.
From God Wood I got onto Tatum Ramble, which was nice for checking out New Jersey's tall trees. This trail is wider and had a few bikers on it. It is a bit longer and connected to Meadow Run and Indian Springs.
Meadow Run is the longest trail. It connects the meadows of the park, which all kind of look the same. If you are shorter on time, I recommend the other trails first, unless you really love meadows.
Indian springs is a cute narrow trail that makes you feel as though you are sneaking through the woods. I really enjoyed this one, but it goes along the road for quite a bit which can be noisy.
I only have this park 4 stars because it is on the small side, there is some road noise, and I found some of the directions a bit confusing. Overall it is a Great place for a day walk -- not at all challenging and quite relaxing. It is well worth a visit.
google says i was here but i wasnt
A beautiful park full of hikers, dog-walkers, and horse back riding. We didn't plan to visit here, we just saw it and it was such a beautiful day we had to stop and stroll through the grass.
Good for hiking and cross-country skiing. County Park Rangers offer various programs, like bird watching.
Nice park with some beautiful nature walking trails and a small playground but horrible "bike" trails covered in sand and eroded rocks, that seem to always be over-grown and unsuitable for even experienced mountain bikers.
