Our Chef, Massimo Stecchi, has trained in Italy at the renowned Ceres Culinary Institute of Torino, Italy. He has extensive experience as an Executive Chef and has worked in some of Manhattan’s best restaurants.
Our General Manager Gerardo Mascolo has an extensive knowledge of wines as well as being a great cook and culinary expert in his own right. His role, which he genuinely enjoys, is to ensure a memorable dining experience every time you visit Tappo.
We focus on using local, fresh produce and organic ingredients. We use the highest quality and import the best authentic products from Italy. At Tappo we make our own fresh pastas using organic eggs.
We use unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil imported from Corato, Italy. The “Coratine” olives have higher percentage of Polyphenol which are antioxidants and protect against common health problems.
