We LOVE the Tanglewood Lights! We have gone every year for many years! They have added so much over the years! The barn is a great halfway point to stop and see Santa, get treats and find wonderful homemade crafts and goodies! Expect about an hour or more wait time to just get in the gate on certain nights. But, there are lights to look at and a big tree that changes patterns!

The lights were pretty but the station we were told to turn to 99.5 had way to many commercials and talking. It would enhance the experience if there was actual Christmas music throughout the viewing of the lights. It would also be helpful if the people at the gates paid more attention to cars coming in and tell them to turn out their lights.

The light show opens at 6pm, be prepared to wait in line at least 1 hour. Our entire drive through time (seeing lights) was about 2 hours. Plenty to see, lots of animated lights. We haven't made the trip in a few years, but there seems to be quite a few new displays. It's a decent show for $15 a car.

Great place to go watch Christmas lights! Very long line to go through in order to see them but worth the trip. During the year, Tanglewood has many attractions to enjoy. It normally cost $2.00 to visit. Tanglewood has 2 professional golf courses, a par 3 golf course, horse riding stables, Public swimming pool and a fenced dog park among many other activities. Very nice must see place in the Triad. I highly recommend.

There is a nice paved walking trail that makes a 1.5 or 2 mile loop. Benches are scattered around the trail. Nice campground and picnic areas with clean restroom. Good dog park near the campground area. My only complaints are I wish the trails through the woods weren't just for bikes. Would like if they were open to walkers a few days a week.
You can access the walking and biking trails for free from the parking lots near the dog park and campground, at the North end of the park.
There's a fee to go past the main gate to get to the pool, tennis courts, manor house.

It would be nice if the river trail actually had more than one obscure place to see the river. Some more river viewing areas and seating would be great.

This park has a lot to offer. The small fee of $2 at the entrance is well with the cost. Very well kept with a golf course, pool and water park, picnic areas, play grounds, campground, horse back riding, ponds, dog park, hiking trails, and the list goes on.

Have been going here for years and have always loved it, but stayed here in our new RV for the first time. Very nice campground and the lady in the office was top notch. Will stay again.

We took our first RV trip there. Awesome campground but they don't allow campfires. The pool area is huge and includes water slides and a lazy river. Golf course, horseback riding and a lake with paddle boats. Beautiful park. Many weddings are held there.

Had a wedding and reception there. It was incredible. Perfect atmosphere, intimate, beautiful. Chairs was small but held over 100 people. Lakeside covered shelter number there was perfect. Wedding party stayed at the manor house. All was above expectations.

Fun big park to play, bike, horse-rides, and RV camping. Two separate dog parks for big and small dogs to run around in. There's a 1.8 mile walking/running track which is nice and has half shady spots. There are also off road mountain biking trails that are fairly challenging. Also a playground and old real decommissioned training. There are paddle boats as well in a small pond to rent.

Terrible experience came to meet friends was told I couldn't enter with my motorcycle. I understand the desire to keep hooligans on dirt bikes out of the park but to deny access to a street bike and make me walk a mile is absolutely unacceptable. If it's a noise issue I'm astounded because behind me was two twits in cheap cars backfiring up a storm. The lady at the gate likewise was rude and didn't have an answer to why I could not enter. HOPEFULLY THE HIGHER UPS OF THIS PARK READ THIS AND PULL THEIR HEADS FROM BETWEEN THEIR LEGS AND THINK ABOUT HOW DETRIMENTAL IT IS TO TURN GOOD RESPECTFUL PEOPLE AWAY.

I am visiting my family this week and they took me to Tanglewood Park for a trail ride. I had such an awesome time today. The horses were stunning and we'll taken care of. The trail was beautiful, right along the river. Our trail guide Mike was so nice and welcoming to us. I didn't get the other lady's name but she was funny and she had me laughing the whole time. This park has so much to offer, you really have to visit to see how beautiful it is. What a wonderful time I had today. I wish Louisiana had a park gem such as this one.

Tanglewood is a beautiful park and a great place to relax. There are multiple event venues in the park and a very nice dog park (which is free to use). As someone who primarily uses the dog park (Tanglewoof) that is what is primarily dinging stars from the review. In the past year there have been significant efforts to better communicate with dog park patrons about whether it is open or not, but there are continued challenges with grass maintenance and mud holes. Additionally, it is worth noting that the dog park hours areflexible. It would be nice if lights could be added to the dog park so that those of us who work could actually make use of it during the winter when it is dark by 5:30.
