This restaurant is fantastic. We have been driving by it for years and just recently went for our anniversary. Food is top notch. High quality meats and ingredients. Service was excellent. We mixed up our reservations and they accommodated us despite being very busy. We had cocktails, charcuterie board, the steak special and chicken parm. All delicious. Looking forward to the next time we can eat there.

Took the whole family (lots of small children) for dinner tonight. Our waiter was Justin and he was very good - patient, attentive and quick. Good was great and all the kids ate. The dessert (peanut butter and chocolate cake) was exceptional. Will definitely go back (hopefully just with my wife for a date night).

Gluten-free. There are not enough stars to rate this restaurant. Our food was outstanding 👌 I think they have the best chef in the state. I was searching for gluten-free and had found this place.Being a celiac, I'm always hesitant to eat out, and I was judging the restaurant by the outside, nervous that it was a small tavern-pub style establishment, boy was I wrong.

Great dining experience in Grand County. Usually a good dish selector with some unusual game meats. Good service and a neat location in the little town of Tabernash. Worth visiting if you are anywhere in the county.

After going on a week long trip around Colorado and eating at some great restaurants, this one was definitely my favorite! Definitely pricey but well worth it. The staff was very friendly and checked on us several times. They have a huge wine and alcohol selection. The variety of food selections is amazing. I wish we had room for dessert but were way too full to try it.

We have been coming to TT for a few months now, amd we love it. The drinks are amazing, the food is deliscious, the location is sweet and the design Of bye restaurant is our style. We agree, that staff is not very friendly, but last night we had a male server we never had before and he was awesome! The place is pricey but I’d rather pay for good quality food and not get sick. There have been many times where I’ve paid for average food or good food and it was either too rich or not cooked well. This food is so good! The porterhouse steak is a dream, the paella is succulent and very tasty 😋. We love the meatballs especially. The place does need a heating system, as it runs cold. Other than that don’t miss out on this gem of a place!

Tabernasty Tavern is the dirtiest joke in "fine" dining. The atmosphere is a trash pile with a "hippies use the back door" sign outside which leads to the most unappealing kitchen view right from the gusty first step in. The tired and two faced staff had noses in the air and no personality. The only reason to order from their wildly over priced and silly menu is to impress people with few morals.
The place is a dump with an ego problem.

Bring your money and be prepared to be wow'ed by food! This place was better than many high end restaurants in Denver. We had an awesome time here! A diamond in the rough. Can't wait to try lunch!

What happen to the Tabernash Tavern? Way too expensive for a tavern in a small town. Prices are ridiculous ($49 for halibut...really!?) My husband ordered the top sirloin ($34)...only steak under $50!! It was mediocre at best, including the vegetables. I ordered the mussels...instead of getting a bowl full, as before, I got about 16 small mussels, arranged artistically on a plate. We went on a Sunday night; there was live music and it was so loud, we were yelling at each other just to be heard. We were totally disappointed and we probably will not return.

Delicious food. Was very happy with the food and the service. Make sure you book a reservation or at least call and see if you need one. My family went twice in a week on our trip and the first time we had no problem getting in. The second time we ordered carry out and when I picked it up a couple walked in and couldn't be seated because of no reservation. They were packed.

Bland, unnecessarily heavy, overpriced food. Very limited menu that's not very interesting. Had the tavern surf and turf, just not a very good flavor, too heavy, and not enough lobster for the price. The olive canoe seemed like it contained olives from the City Market olive bar and the French onion soup was kinda tasteless. Would not recommend and will not go back.

My boyfriend and I stopped at this restaurant on our way back from a day trip in the mountains. The food was FANTASTIC!! We had the mushroom pot pie and the wild game meatball. It was to die for!!! My boyfriend also said the service was very friendly so that's always a plus. Highly recommend!!

Five star food, service and ambiance.
I don't know how this place exists in Tabernash, but it does, and it's a must visit if you're in the area.
I would call the food inventive, were it in Denver or San Francisco or Tabernash. The chef is creative and I have no idea how s/he sources such fresh food!
The servers are delightful and the owner coming around asking how everything tastes is a nice treat.
    Five stars!

    Wouldn't serve me.

It was the summer time, and I went into this restaurant in shorts and a t shirt. I was pretty hungry, so I went over to the host's podium and waited for 10 minutes for someone to finally notice me. The hostess came over slowly, and I asked how long the wait would be. She said that they wouldn't serve me, because they don't allow people to wear shorts. Like I said, it was the summertime, and it was HOT. So, it makes no sense why they would do that. Who decided, I mean WHO decided that that would be a good idea?!! It's Tabernash! It's so tiny it barely qualifies as a town, and is the only restaurant in the area that serves local dishes!

The bottom line is, I'm never coming here again, or I'll at least wait for the winter time, so they will actually give me food!

This place has just the atmosphere we were looking for on our mountain getaway. We wanted wild game for dinner and were not disappointed. We had a giant meatball with 3 kinds of wild game in it that was to die for. The service was top notch. We felt at home, and our server went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted. I had the fried quail and grits. It was amazing, and that's coming from a Georgia girl. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are ever in the Tabernash/Fraser/Winter Park area.
