Absolutely amazing! Whether you're a history/military enthusiast or not, you will love this museum. Hint: Speak to the man who is there to greet you when you walk inside. He will tell you super interesting things about what you will see. Definitely a full day experience. ♡♡♡♡♡
I really enjoyed this museum! I learned a lot. I liked the way it is set up and the exhibits. The real equipment displayed was awesome! Entry into the museum is free, the gift shop was really nice and they have like a concession stand. You can take pictures and play a virtual war game. Loved this museum!!!!
The best free museum in the country! There is so much here you could come every day and see something new each time. If any of the simulators are open while you're there, do make sure to do them, as they are a lot of fun. Make sure to spend at least 3 hours here, you are definitely going to need it.
Very moving and extremely informative museum. Allow at least 2 hours or more to see everything. Absolutely worth seeing. Unbelievably, it's FREE but please give a donation so it can continue to be free. Shows you how selflessly our men and women past and present defend our country and help other countries as well. Gives you a new appreciation for those that choose to protect our country and our rights. Seeing this museum and knowing what these young men and women do and have done will make you ask out loud "how can someone not stand to honor our flag, country , and the citizens that defend it?"
I guess I am a victim of my age, I am patriotic and this museum is one of the best tributes I have ever seen to veterans. From the moment you enter you are transported into a place that truly honours our servicemen. There is a movie theater showing 3D films, a concession stand and on the upper level - a very good restaurant. We spent approximately 6 hours there, could have spent more. Outside there is a replica of the Vietnam Wall. Excellent time spent exploring.
Very nice, clean, well done with great information. Also with VR simulator that puts you in the middle of a rescue mission. Very cool. Would certainly go back.
It was an excellent place to spend hours and hours at. You need to set a good 4 hour block aside and that may not be enough. Non military personnel would even enjoy all the history. I would give it 5 stars.
Very impressive! Lots of education, and very nicely created exhibits. Wonderful memorials and an overwhelming amount of pride and patriotism everywhere you turn. Absolutely recommend going there!
We visited the U.S. Infantry Museum when we visited our oldest Son for Basic Training-Family Day at Fort Benning, GA.
It is a wonderful Museum that has so much to take in and learn. It will take several hours to see all of the exhibits. We could only see about half of the museum on this trip but we will finish when we return in 4 weeks to see our Son Graduate Basic and earn hi Blue Cord.
It' difficult to see the life-size battle re-creations and not feel a swell of pride and sadness for those who have given all for our Freedom. I have always been proud to be an American, but having a Son who is an Infantryman makes me prouder than I ever thought possible.
May God Bless our Soldiers.
As a prior service Infantry soldier, I appreciate the National Infantry Museum and the vast array of displays. A walk through the museum allows visitors to glimpse the life of an Infantry soldier. Starting at The Revolutionary War and spanning WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the more recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Plan on spending several hours. Take a break for a great meal in the restaurant or catch a movie at the Giant Screen Theater. I especially liked the tour of the Harmony Church barracks, orderly room and chapel. My Basic Training was at Harmony Church, which exists now only as a museum display.
It was beautiful. They have amazing sets and did a great job laying out the whole thing. It was a very fun trip.
I've been to this museum twice and enjoyed it both times. My Grandpa is a Vietnam Veteran and he said that the exhibits were very realistic and you could tell that everyone in my family really enjoyed it. The new VR exhibit was by far my favorite part!
One of the best museums--military or something else. It's free! Donations are accepted and I encourage you to donate. It's worth it. Has snack bar, IMAX, and gift shop. The exhibits are unbeatable.
It was so beautiful!!!!! The grounds were kept really nice and building itself was beautiful! Then the inside was so nice! My son who os 5 years old loved it, my daughter who is 2 was kinda scary at 1st because of the sound effects! But after a while she was okay. Would love to go back!!
This is a great place to visit to learn more about the army. It is very educational to see what the recruits have gone through past and present. It's great for all ages, must see if you are in the area.
