  We have had a horrible experience with this bank to the point we had to switch financial institutions. First, their online banking is not accurate. One day, the ATM said we had $40, and this was on a Friday. I made 5 transactions that were less than $2 each from Friday to Monday. I woke up Tuesday and had a negative balance and 5 overdrafts. No one at the bank or corporate office could explain how this happen, and nothing had changed, it was the same transaction that were on Friday. They only refunded 3 overdrafts and said we had to pay the other 2, even though they did not understand why the numbers changed to a negative balance. Never overdrafted before this bank and never overdrafted after leaving them.
  Wrote a check for $650 and they cleared it for $500. Again, they had no idea how that happen.
  Former employees told me they did not enjoy working there and the tellers are expected to deal with complaints and rectify situations they have no control over and are severely underpaid.
  I do not like calling customer service. You are nothing but an account number. I had to tell them who I banked with. The people at customer service have no idea who you are.
  Long wait times at the Pinetree location. There only may be two tellers and a business client can take up a very long time.
  In all, this is not my preferred bank. I went to Wells Fargo and they have never given me any reason to complain or take time from my schedule to deal with their errors.
  I gave Synovus bank one star, for the same reason I closed the account. I mailed a check Saturday night. Wired money over from another account. The Check clears Tuesday but shows posting date for Monday and the wire transfer deposit cleared on Tuesday. When I explained this to the customer service rep. She had nothing to say except she was sorry about that and did not understand how they processed it in that manner. So finally after this bank has taken two weeks of my pay in overdraft fees in the last three years, we left. Like I said before. We have never had a single overdraft again.
