We really enjoy going on weekend, long weekend and vacations here. It's got its ups and downs like any other place. But it's 10x better than camping in state parks. It's a private resort so membership is required.
We have been members here for a few years now & it just keeps getting better. The campground is well kept & manicured. The staff is amazing!! We come as often as possible! All the campers we meet here are super friendly. We have 2 dogs that love to walk and the dog park park is always nice and clean.
Lovely place. The staff and volunteers are terrific. Definitely make you feel you’re appreciated and they’ll do anything they can to help (unless you treat them badly — then all bets are off ).🧛🏼♂️
Reservations are easy as can be online put your specs in and pick a place. But do it as early as possible for the best spots. Since so few spots have sewer, they go quickly. Even if you can’t find the place with a full hook up for the days you want, a little creative planning can get you back on track maybe 3 days w/o sewer, then move to another spot and dump in between. Or split between full and partial hookups. Calling for reservations for a longer period time is very effective in getting the right combination you need. You can also check in the park office and sometimes they might have last-minute openings that will work better for you.
The sites are typically quite roomy. I never feel cramped. Utilities work well. Great place to hang out. Beautiful setting. Really nice common areas.
Definitely will get 5 stars ⭐️ 🌟 💫 🌟 ⭐️ once the following issues are resolved:
* WiFi (it now usually connects but bandwidth is not enough to be practical to use)
* Sewer hookups (less than half the sites have it not really acceptable for a first class park like this)
I guess it would be asking too much to have a Super Walmart next-door. But there are a lot of places within an easy 25 mile drive in any direction.
Don’t fall for them! We haven’t been able to use our campground membership because they are always booked! Even during the off season or during the week we aren’t able to get a spot.
They also never did the updates that were promised three years ago. And yes, we have tried to talk to them and get in contact per phone, email, person, still no help. Absolutely terrible customer service, as soon as they have your money you can’t expect anything from them anymore
We stayed the first time last weekend. Enjoyed it so much, we stayed an extra night. Lots of nice people. Relaxing and quiet. Perfect place for us and our dog. We will return soon. Definitely our "go to" place for a quick getaway. Loved it.
Probably some of the nicest people I've ever met stay here. It's been such a pleasure meeting and hanging out with people in this breathtaking resort. Everything is very well kept. Amenities are top notch and the staff is very helpful and definitely goes the extra mile to ensure your comfort. This place is like a home away from home and you'll make some wonderful friends here. It's very spacious and luxurious.
The Lodge and facilities were fine. In fact they are the single reason the place didn't get a zero. The staff was something else. RUDE. UNRESPONSIVE. Especially those bitches at the front desk.
Never went anywhere on vacation and was made to feel like I was an inconvenience. Like I was bothering them!
They will never be bothered by me again and I suggest you avoid them as well.
It's a campground not a resort. Overpriced membership, In three years seen no updates to the Campground. Seem to always get booked on the same row never can get a sewer hookup or a site anywhere close to the bathhouse. Same lies about the sewers are coming it takes a few months years ago. Golf cart rental are way overpriced but the campground is small walking or bike riding is good. mini golf course is lacking. pool is nice. Kids love it for the most part. Nice place to relax. Not worth the membership price or the maintenance fee. Save your money look else where. could get you a 7 day site at a nice resort campground for 10 years for the cost of membership plus yearly maintenance fees.
The Bad - They say they have wifi in the campground, but they don't. Most of the sites do not have sewer hook up. Half of the sites are beautiful. The other half are jammed together and back to back. My neighbors awning was literally 2 feet off my bedroom window. When we asked to move to the site across the lane, we were told it was taken. It was vacant the entire 7 days we were there. Front desk staff is not very friendly and have no idea how to talk to a customer. They are unwilling to be creative to accommodate you.
The Good - Outside staff is very friendly. Beautiful grounds and very will kept. Great activities for the Kids and weekend entertainment is always very good. Pool is good. If you are lucky to get a good site you will have a great family fun time.
Everyone was so inviting and helpful during our initial camping experience as new campers. The resort appeared safe , clean and inviting. We definitely plan to return being as though we have become members, yay. Joey, James , Jackie and can was very helpful. Joey and James helped us overcome several issues that occurred while there going above and beyond to help resolve our issues.
We are members and we absolutely love Sycamore Lodge! The people are friendly and welcoming. The kids have so much fun while we are here. It's the perfect place for families to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday and just relax and get off the grid.
We received the offer to attend 3 days, 2 nights at the Sycamore Lodge after buying our first RV from Camping World. This place is beautiful, very clean and always has something going on. Very family friendly!!! We did have to attend a 2 hour tour but believe me when I say that it was stress free and very enjoyable. We were picked up at our camping spot in a golf cart and toured the resort for about an hour and a half. This place is beautiful!!!
