First time ever going to Sweet Moses. What a pleasant experience. Everything tasted great, and the entire staff worked together to prepare our order. It was like a soda shop out of an old movie. I sent a picture of the menu to my father and he plans on showing up this week and ordering his favorite item.chocolate phosphate "made the correct way". We will be back.
Fun place with decent ice cream. Not the best in town but it won't leave a bad taste in your mouth either. This is a good place to bring your family.
This is a must try if you like dessert, and works as a great date night cap. Beware of the long line, no matter what time of day. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food served, as all the desserts are prepared fresh. There is also a solid offering of prepackaged items to buy as gifts or for those that have a sweet tooth and want to take something home.
Can I give 10 stars? Staff exceeds customer service and friendliness of everywhere else I have visited this year. Awesome place, retro soda and ice cream store with a fresh look. Great products. I love everything about this place. French press coffee was superb! Love the 1930's era music. The antique bar mirror, booths, and cash registers really all add to the charm.

Hands down best ice cream Ive tasted so far! Root beer float is perfect! Very cute place, I would definately recommend it to anyone. They have tons of other treats and serve coffee drinks as well. Again, best ice cream!
One of my favorite ice cream shops. They make everything (ice cream, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, caramel corn, etc.) in house and its all super yummy!! Seating is limited for the volume of customers but there is both a counter and tables. Amazingly, you order and then go sit and they will deliver your ice cream creation right to your table!! My only complaint is that the line is long, but that's not because of slow service it's just because this place is so popular!
Wonderful, quaint soda/ice cream shop that takes you back in time to earlier days. Ice cream sodas (floats) are the highlight, but everything else they have is also good (such as phosphates). So good, that the night me and my friends went, there was a line almost out the door! Definitely worth a visit if you're visiting or if you live in town!
What's not to love about this place. Ice cream desserts hand made and brought to your table. Water an a pretzel to round out the experience. Great neighborhood Gordon square has become. This is a great place to walk to after a great meal in the area or after a show at the theatre nearby.
For a city that gets bonechillingly cold for a good chunk of the year, Cleveland has a pretty good ice cream scene and Sweet Moses is one of the highlights. It's an authentic ice cream parlor/soda fountain, complete with antique cash registers, service counters and seating.
The in-house ice cream is amazing. I think their Belgian chocolate is the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had and their bananas foster ice cream is to die for. They make most everything in house and offer homemade root beer, pies, cookies and brownies, too. My favorites are their chocolate malt (served with a gigantic, striped paper straw), the Gordon Square (bananas foster ice cream served over a brownie and coated in guy fudge) and the The Terminal Tower (scoops of all their flavors of ice cream piled in a glorious mountain with tons of toppings. If one person eats the whole thing, they get their name on a plaque on the wall, but it's way more fun to have a group attempt it. Even with six people, we've never succeeded.)
The staff is friendly and flexible. I once wanted to buy a bunch of their amazing crunchy toffee that they use an ice cream topping, and despite it not being listed for sale, the gal at the counter went back, talked to the boss, worked out how much it would cost and packaged some up for me.
I always went there for the home made pies.So good.
THAN THE PIE MAKER QUIT probably because they didnt pay him what he was worth. There new idea is to outsource mini pies from a local company which is not even close in quality or taste.
POOR DECISION.
I called to express my feelings and could not even get through.they have an answering machine.
I wont be going back.
Sweet Moses serves up not just a 1950 atmosphere (which is tons of fun), but also some really great ice cream. My favorite is the Gordon Square sundae, but I recommend you share it with a friend - it's huge!
Come here for the atmosphere, not the ice cream. The sundaes are just big bowls of grocery store quality ice cream and a brownie that tastes like it came out of a Little Debbie box.
You might have better luck with the sodas or shakes but I'd rather just go to Mitchell's.
Like walking back in time to the 1940s or 1950s, it's sort of like a hipster-Mitchell's Ice Cream. Definitely a cool place to satisfy your sweet tooth with your sweetie! MUCH better than the one they installed at Progressive Field, where the line is too long, the prices are inflated, and the selections are minimal. At THIS location, you at least get better ambiance. The ice cream is divine, though they do have old-time candy and some interesting sandwich selections, like their PB&J. I'm always a sucker for their coffee ice cream or salted-caramel ice cream but will have to try their malts the next time we go.
