All they care about is money. Money, money, money. Horrible place to be!!
You do leave with the highest accredited degree in massage therapy is the ONLY upside. Poor teachers get paid SOOO little. Who ever runs the school you will never meet and I’m not sure how they sleep at night. Don’t worry, Karma will come back.
Honestly, it was cool for the first week but when you're there for a longer time you start to see that the school is very money motivated. They took out a loan without my permission due to the fact that my fafsa did not cover my tuition, and no one told me until I was leaving the school. If they would have asked for the rest of the tuition I would have had the money but instead they made it as if I borrowed a loan. The school is filled with people who most likely have already been to college and I wouldnt recommend to someone who is fresh out of high school and has long term career goals. I was in the MA program which i believed I would be able to use as a stepping stone but their credits are only transferable to "private schools" as I was told. Overall you may meet some good people but if you want a long term career this might not be the place for you.
I would not recommend this school to anyone. The amount of money one is paying to go here, it’s not worth it. Something as simple as going to a library one must call because it may or may not be opened
Great school. Great teachers. Experience depends on you! They have great resources and just the name of the school can bring you a lot of opportunities here in NY. In my 2nd semester and have had two job offers just from the schools reputation. The massage therapy school is one of the best!
I want to thank Jehovah and also key staff for affording me the opportunity to attend Swedish Institute, I appreciate it. Although it is still difficult to find a job, even though I was told that my performance was optimal, I am still hanging in there and trusting that Jesus will come through for me. My desire is to someday exit the welfare program and be self sufficient including in housing. Once again I am very grateful for having attended Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences.
