The entire weekend no one cleaned our rooms.. housekeeping was lurking through our things.. Its a clean hotel just lazy staff. Front desk was amazing Jordan & Jessie.
On a mini vacation. Asked for first floor, got it. A.C. works good, tv could use some more channels for the kids. Suprised it did not have a fridge. Overall its clean and on the main road to marblehead and put-in bay. Plenty of outlets in room.
The location was great, but the hotel needs and upgrade for the amount they charge a night. There wasn't garbage bags in the can, the bath tub was peeling, the cable service was fuzzy and cloudy, no fridge or microwave, iron or board hair dryer in the rooms. The night clerk was stingy with the condiments for coffee in our room. As I said the location is wonderful close to the beach, pier, docks,Jet Express, I guess thats what you pay for.
I hesitate to give this hotel even one star, but it did have a bed, clean sheets and a pillow. Upon entering the room we were hit by the smell of mildew and possibly mold. This was because the carpeting under the air conditioner was wet. We had to run the heat on low to get the air somewhat breathable. The bathroom was small but the tub was possibly a plexiglass tub that had been installed over an older tub, the floor of the tub was cracked and broken which made me wonder what was growing in between the sandwiched tubs. Fortunately we only were in our rooms to sleep for two nights. I've also notice bites I didn't have before staying there but I can't say for sure they are bed bug bites and as I said the sheets appeared to be clean. They didn't make the beds while we were there. Considering that two nights was $300 and they are one of the few hotels in Port Clinton I felt taken advantage of, so travelers beware!
Well where to start. The parking lot is as dark as a back alley in the hood. Room smelt like an old refrigerator that had been left unplugged with the door closed to later be opened. Also, no mini fridge, the TV channels are shotty. They come in like the tv's hooked to a set of bunny ears. The bed is pretty firm, much more firm then I like. If you use a Cpap like I do to sleep, being a extension cord as there's not enough outlets for that and a cell phone charger near the bed. The toilet sits on the ground. If you are, 3'9" to 5'3" it maybe comfortable, at 6'5" its like sitting on a sand bucket that someone left on the beach. Also, what an amazing view of two lovely Budweiser bottles sleeping under my window.
Not a bad place to stop for the night if you are passing through. Breakfast in the morning was convenient. Bed I slept in was a little on the hard side for my taste but it sufficed.
Nice free breakfast, some weird people but good service
Very friendly staff, easy access from nearby highways, quick ride to Cedar Point. Spiders in the rooms, however caused several members of our groups to get bitten
Very helpful staff for the most part we had contact with 3staff members , 2 of them very nice they had no problem with our 2 dogs, room was clean beds were a little hard but ok for most part had problem with our safe in room and daytime staff came to help instead of just waving us off and saying she'd have someone come look at it later she got up came to room and took a look when it couldn't be fixed she gave us other choices, was very knowledgeable about the ferry ride and island rules would definitely stay again, we spent 2 nights there.
Average rooms. Ok for a quick stay.
I would not stay here again if I had a choice. This hotel was supposed to use my reward points and then waited 7 months to charge me the full rate for the room. Not good business.
