DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS FOR RIDING LESSONS HERE!

I started taking my child who just turned five here for riding lessons.

Within the second session, his horse spooked and took off, and I mean TOOK OFF, with him ON THE HORSE.

The disturbing thing is, that there are 3 instructors with each lesson, two holding him with safety ropes, one holding the horse.

NOT ONE OF THEM HAD THE SENSE OR QUALIFICATION TO GRAB HIM OFF THE HORSE!

Instructors are there to be alert, not coffee clutch with their buddies while my kid takes off on an out of control horse!

Before, I signed him up I asked if the horses spooked much and I was told by the supervisor Liz that they are all retired dossal horses.

It is a miracle that he is alive.

CLEARLY the staff is not qualified.

They have a system with the staff and they only keep them for brief periods of time, giving another staffer a chance to teach.

IT GETS BETTER, when I called Liz the supervisor she said they teach independence there so it is not required that they pull children off a spooked horse!!!!!!!!

That answer alone is so disturbing!

Pay a few extra dollars and go to a reputable stable in Colts Neck if you can.

I can assure you that with staff like this, a child will be losing their life at this place.

I told them that my child would not continue there due to the quality of their trainers and they said they give no refunds because we chose to not come?

    Shame on you Sunnyside Equestrian
