  Honest agency, kind employees. Our rental property was a little rundown but we were the last renters of the season so that's understandable. Prices are a little high, but will still do business with them again (in the off season).

  On our annual vacation in OBX. Second year renting a house thru Sun Realty! They are fabulous.... the ladies in the office are friendly and helpful. Service is exceptional. Much much better than other rental companies we've used in the past. Highly recommend!!

  My family and neighbors have used Sun Realty with great success for the past 8 years for our family vacations throughout Duck. Their customer service is outstanding as we've always had quick and professional responses when we needed something throughout our stay. We definitely recommend them when booking a family or multi-family vacation anywhere in the outer banks.

  In late August of this year my extended family, 18 in all, arrived at the Sun Realty office in Duck, NC, all anxiously awaiting our week vacation that cost us over $4000 dollars. The week of hell begain immediately with the misunderstanding and rude staff. We thought we would be able to get right into the property since we arrived after Sun's posted access time. We could NOT! We were told the property was not yet cleaned. We waited almost 2 hours. Once we gained access to the property we found it filthy. This so-called cleaning crew swished some clorox water around on the floor and called that clean. We were to have linens included with this property (DL-19 Haas Quaker). There were not sufficient linens and when I called the office, I once again, was treated like I was doing Sun Realty a favor by vacationing in the OBX. They were completely rude and acted like I was trying to get free towels from them. What a crock! We also quickly found out that the ground floor rear bedroom had black mold on the ceiling and in the corner of the room. The AC unit on the 3rd floor was so loud and rumbled so badly it made the dining area windows screens shake. The ice maker in the upstairs fridge did not work. Burners on the stoves did not work. There were hair balls from a previous renters dog in the corners and under the sofas. The sofa's themselves were so dirty I didn't even sit on them. The hot tub did not work. The pool was filthy. Sun's property listing that I used to rent this property showed that there were bikes at this property and a foosball table. Well, no bikes, no foosballs for the table. I guess we were just supposed to pretend we were playing foosball! The towel racks in the ground level bathroom were ripped from the wall. It was an absolute mess. After many calls and emails I was finally given a "refund" of a lousy $150. Seriously? And then AFTER I was ripped off by this lousy company I received solicitations welcoming me back for another year for a fun-filled family vacation. They're kidding..... Right? I hope this review does some good and warns other folks of this companies poor business practice. I simply don't want to see another ruined family vacation. PLEASE DO NOT USE SUN REALTY!!! I am currently talking with an attorney in regard to the performance of this Real Estate Co. They mislead my family with false advertising and did not perform according to their contract. Please BEWARE!

  I fish most of the time on vacation, so I dont spend much time in the house. So when we were asked to let Sun Realty know how are stay was I had to ask my wife. :) In all seriousness, we've used a couple different realty companies and never had a problem. Our most recent stay was with Sun and they did a great job. My son accidently pulled a knob off the bathroom faucet. We called Sun and they were there the next morning and fixed it no problem. The pool guy showed up twice during the week and did a good job as well.

  We had a wonderful stay at Quack Me Up in Duck. Having rented beach houses many, many times over the years in the Outer Banks and elsewhere along the NC/SC coasts so I have a lot to compare this house to. Pool is NOT stand issue postage stamp beach house pool. Amazing decking. Situated close to the beach with easy access.
