Had surgery with Dr. Tar. Surgery staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Dr. Tar was great. Very pleased with the entire experience.

The doctors at this place are fantastic but the accounting is horrible! My experience with the urgent care at this location is this:

Go into the urgent care to get looked at. Get told I have no co-pay and receive no bill. About six months later I get a call from a collection agency stating I had an unpaid bill from Summit Medical Group and what would have been a $10 bill is now a $330 dollar bill, which I never received in the first place. When I contacted their accounting department they told me that I was out of luck and that if I didn't pay the collection agency that my credit score would suffer.

So with that said the doctors here are great, but the Summit Medical Group itself is a bunch of money grubbers who have zero sympathy and will not hesitate to screw you over absolutely. When you go here be VERY careful about making sure you receive a bill, because if you didn't chances are you'll get a call from a collection agency six months later.

You can't beat the convenience of having doctors and labs in one place, and I've found the quality of care to be good. In fact, after seeing two podiatrists elsewhere who never treated my problem successfully, I finally got proper treatment and relief at SMG.

The doctors are very good, the administrative aspects are pretty bad. They use primitive computer systems and keep few continuous records. You have to spend a huge amount of time identifying yourself over and over on every call, rarely reach the right person and it takes them a long time to get back to you at which point you have to re-explain the entire situation from scratch.

Went to access the Urgent care facility. Sineage lacking./ not clear. No parking available(eventually parked in a ditch) and long line for valet not located near the entrance. All doors are wheelchair accessible yet there is no ramp and many stairs to access the entrance.

Great Primary Care Physician Dr Craig Feinberg. Love having all my doctors under one roof. Very easy to schedule all your annual visits in one day. Great food in Cafe. Very little wait time, if at all. Clean facility. Being a large building people always are willing to give directions. Though big it is still handicap patient friendly. They have wheelchairs at entrance if needed and a good free valet car service just tip if you can. Even the billing department is good. Many interesting classes just wish they had a dentist 😁

While the doctors are somewhat competent, office staff and associated policies feel like a throw-back from the 80's. More to do with rules, policies and overall "impersonal" environment. Reading Glassdoor comments gives you the feeling (not surprising) there is serious issues with employee base and leadership; "us vs. them". While most of the buildings are new or renovated, you sense there was little creativity or thought process how to make the overall environment patient friendly and less bland, featureless. A visit to the west coast would serve leadership well to better understand how to deliver an improved customer (patient) experience

I had an MRI & an MRA yesterday in the Imaging department. First I went to the wrong pavillon and the security guard got on the phone to find the right place-which was really nice because I was very nervous about the outcome of the procedure. When I finally got to Imaging, Ms. Gentile kindly took care of me. Next, the kind MRI phlebotomist(I am sorry I don't remember your name, but you mentioned your son had gotten a couple of stitches playing football when he was younger) got me set up with an IV shunt(?right word?) and was very professional and reassuring. The MRI tech took over and was completely professional. Thank you all.

WORST BILLING DEPARTMENT !! BE AWARE!! These people in the billing department should get some training how to handle bills and how to claim them to Insurance Company, most importantly how to be polite to their Customers. They charge 40% more than any other Doctor's office. If you call them to inquiry, you will get an answer like there is no way to get rid of these bills. Very rude people with no Mercy. Most of them don't care about their Customers, they seem working just only to get paid. If this medical organization wants to improve this department, I strongly suggest they should start a customer satisfactory survey after their representatives are contacted by their costumer.

Great medical care, TERRIBLE back office operations (payments, medical coding, etc.)

EVERY time in the past two years, they have coded the same treatment wrong which results in my insurance not covering the bill (coding as "experimental treatments"). Then when they perform a coding review, it takes 6+ weeks which results with them trying to send my balance to collections during the process.

If you ever have coverage issues, make sure they coded the treatment properly, because it is a major issue that I found, not my insurer (BCBS), not SMG, but ME! I would not be surprised if this happens regularly and what's their incentive to change? None, if people pay the unwarranted costs, they make money; and if they're wrong there's no penalty for them. To put it in perspective, my treatment when covered costs me $50 (and my insurance pays a reduced charge of $500), without coverage, it's $950...

I work for a major pharmaceutical company and it's amazing to me how inefficiently some of these HCPs operate.... The practice of drug pricing in this country could be improved, but the true issues lie with the providers - think about the amount of times they've probably done this to those covered by medicare...

Been here for the past 4 years now. Love my GP, the staff are superb. You have an excellent staff to attend to you and full range of medical disciplines under one roof with out the super long waits.
