I have had cats as patients here since 1994. At that time I owned one Persian cat. He lived to be 16 under the amazing care of Dr. James Downey. When it was my cats time to pass, Dr Downey was compassionate and made what was a very sad time for me, less tolerable.

Four months later, I bought two Persian kittens from the former cats breeder. They were sickly the first year with feline herpes virus. Eye ulcers... it was painful for them, and very expensive to me. But I love these two. Dr. Dorney worked out a wonderful solution to heal them that cut the astronomical costs I would have had with a vet specialist. They have not had an eye ulcer since.

My two cats are healthy, but are inbred. This has always been an issue (and a plug for getting stray cats everywhere). Grooming has been an issue from day one.

Nevertheless, I have full confidence in Summit Dog and Cat Hospital and their crew, which have tolerated my cats and me since 1994.

I moved to Florida in 2013 and found horrific animal care. I had to leave in May 2017 and return to NJ without my cats. I was reunited with them last week. Despite expensive care and transportation in my absence, they were terribly matted and smelled badly.

Today they went to see Dr. Dorney. They are healthy, vibrant and clean. Best homecoming ever! Thank you Olga! Thank everyone for this wonderful place that truly cares about your pets because they are your family.

I highly recommend Summit Dog & Cat Hospital.

I've been to a decent amount of vets in my life and this one by far is the worst. Found a lump on my cat and went here because it was convenient, big mistake. Surgery was quoted at $1400 - charged me $1700. After the surgery - just handed my cat to me with no instructions on next steps - just "here he his". Came back to get his stitches out, they take them out and come back with "keep the cone on longer - cats can be tricky, no other explanation". I will be sure to go somewhere else. I hope you do to.
