Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College

Summer Dance Lab (SDL) is a two-, three- or five-week intensive program focused on developing well-rounded dancers who have a depth of training and experience. SDL is a first class experience for young dancers. Taught by renowned dance artists from all over the world, the curriculum includes a focus on ballet technique, Pointe, partnering classes, modern dance, jazz, character, and American Theatre dance.

Admission to the SDL program is by audition (live or video), and the 2015 program dates are:
Two-week program: June 28 - July 11, 2015
Three-week program: July 12 - Aug. 1, 2015
Five-week program: June 28 - Aug. 1, 2015

Dancers aged 12 to 20 are invited to audition. Dancers must present a small photo in first arabesque with their name written on the back, and all students must be dressed in proper class attire: black leotard and pink tights for females, white tee-shirt/leotard and black tights
for males, ballet slippers (pointe shoes optional).
