  Great river.awesome site.horror story level bug bites.even with torches.candle and no deet sprayif u go hereuse deet!!!!
  No joke. Bring extra even.
  Other then thatgreat place to camp and have out door gatherings.

  So disappointing to take the drive here and found the gates closed for the road that goes to the river. We showed up 45 minutes before sunset and the only road open goes to the north campground. :-(

  The picnic area was very clean but the bugs were out of control. It was hard to grill out when we were getting bit up so bad. I will revisit again

  This place is awful, camp sites are small tons of bugs and tick. i would recommend steering clear of this terrible place. One of the worst camp grounds i've visited
