Whatever it's reasonably clean and the produce is decent
Been writing to Corporate to request specific gluten free products carried by other Stop and Shop stores in adjacent town. After two times, the request falls on deaf ears. Very frustrating.
It's a huge store with lots of product - avoid the deli and the seafood departments and you will be OK. They close the self checkout registers before 10 - not sure why, but it is annoying. The convenience of having People's Bank is good especially on weekends. They could improve their organic section to be on par with the store in Wilton.
Staff was nice, and helped my wife to give a birth, definately 5 stars 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😚😚😚✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Standard Stop &Shop.
The carts could use a good cleaning. Avoid the Fish /Seaford Department.
Check out lines can be slow.
Gas points a plus.
Sale prices are not necessarily reflected on register tape
Overall, just below average.
If you have the time, shop the Wilton location.
This place is dope, they sell everything you could possibly want. Pasta, pasta sauce, colanders (presumably), and even beer, but only after 8!
The staff here with the exception of one have always been pleasant and helpful. The store is kept neat and clean. The ladies restroom should be cleaned more frequently. I purchased the store made baked chicken once and it was too salty and some other premade items were too bland, other than that I can't complain. There are some good weekly sales. Parking is ample.
Wonderful bouquet of flowers! It put a smile on my mom's face and she sent a photo to everyone in the family with the caption "the most beautiful arrangement I have ever seen!" Thank you for making her last day of chemo a brighter experience! :)
It's a pretty typical grocery store. Coming from the city, it's huge and full of choices. However, I'd prefer Stew's or Whole Foods for things like fish and certain specialty items.
Seems to have better produce than other Stop and Shops I have been to. Large store with a solid selection, and had more on sale than I am used to which was great. Also very nice that it is next to Total Wine, can get everything for dinner and then go next door for a good bottle of wine for a great price.
Easy layout, fresh produce, helpful staff, great sales, has most items I need for all around shopping at decent prices, without the intensity of a crowd most times.
Good selection, and helpful, friendly staff. Prices are average for this neighborhood. Only complaint is that the whole store smells like dried mushrooms.
It's a huge store with lot's of product - avoid the deli and the seafood departments and you will be OK.
Bottle return - atrocious!!! Dirty machines, dirty, wet, smelly room with a compliment of flies! No plastic bottle machines worked, one can machine worked- at that point I had no patience to even find out about glass! There are ten return machines in the room! There was a Stop&Shop clerk there trying to get the machines in order, but he gave up and left. Because I had S&S seltzer cans and bottles, I had to go to the clean, well serviced, return center at the Wilton S&S, to finish my returns! Bottle return are part of customer service- The Main Ave. store needs to address that.
Update: 1 star at 1:00 pm, STILL NO SALAD BAR!
3 stars at 8:45 am
Store is clean, decent selection of products. Pricing not bad. But, here are my two gripes.
1. The constant push of junk food as soon as you walk in (mind you all the S&S's are doing this) is ridiculous.
2. They open at 7am, I went in at 8:45 and the salad bar is still not out! Again, I'm noticing they're all doing this as well.
