I have not started yet but May be considering not too. The staff are very very unprofessional and they don't even have anything in order. It's not fair cause the pay is 31thousand and they not perpaird . What you half to go through for a education .

This school deserve less than a star.
As long as they get their paychecks from hard working students who cares right? Misleading.. unprofessional...a disgrace to nursing programs everywhere. If you want to be valued and your money go towards something meaningful run as far as you can from this school. Never the same staff. Revolving door. Wasted 6 months of my life. While being pregnant! Who lies to a pregnant woman. "I'm Sorry?" "What do you want me to say?" How about picking up the phone. Returning voicemails..Emails... Doing the job YOUR STUDENTS are paying you for. Just Disgusting!

I should have paid the extra $300 and gone to the Red Cross for my CNA certification. I was in the program from 2/1/17 to 4/1/17. It is now 5/15/17 and I still haven't been able to take the exam required to be hired as a CNA. The week the program ended at Stone Academy's Hartford location, where I took the course, the program's director, Diane Cook, informed my class that she was still not aware of our test date. After eight weeks to prepare. Eight weeks. She postulated 5/1. That day came and went. Nothing. I paid $118 to take the exam on 5/12, finally relieved that I'd be able to get a job in my field of interest after investing time and money in that effort. On 5/11, I received a call that the exam would be postponed until 6/2. So here I am, still wondering if I'll actually be able to test on that day.
If all that isn't embarrassing enough, the instructor of my class was fired, mid-course! It completely threw off the class and really impacted our progress since the new instructor they hired, again, mid-course, just started from the beginning. Ridiculous.
If you are considering attending Stone Academy, don't.

Was in the LPN program for about 8 month before I withdrew due to a poor experience. Classes were just okay the teaching style in most classes was reading off powerpoints and if I wanted to do that could just do that from home. My peers were wonderful. Teachers were decent and they meant well. My problem lies with the financial department. Which has screwed me over completely, I had about $10,000 of student loans through the US Dept of Education. Stone removed about $5300 of that money and sent me a bill at the beginning of August to pay them $900 a month (What a joke!) Now its the end of august less than one month I am in collections for $5300. Stones collection and billing practices are boarderline against the law. So If you want Stone Academy to screw you over big time, screw your credit up than by all means enjoy Stone Academy. I dont recommend this so called school at all.

HORRIBLE school they rob you for your money. They do not even give you proper labs and they are extremely unorganized. The teachers and the school directors do not care about your education they just want your money. Financial aid there is horrible as well they do not even know what the hell they are doing. DO NOT ATTENDED THIS SCHOOL.

My experience at Stone Academy has been amazing. I look foreward going to school everyday, and the staff is wonderful. They understand that people have families at home, jobs, and a life other than school. They care about your future and actually want to help you succeed. The teachers are willing to work with you and help you understand, and if you need extra help they will take the time to help you. The staff members are honest and fair, and cheating is not tolerated. Annie Stone, went out of her way to help me get back into the program when I ran into an issue that almost prevented me from finishing the program. I would definately reccomend this school to anyone who wants to improve their future

Absolutely astonishing how this school is run.

I just filed a lawsuit and contacted the attorney general.

They will bully you. Reggie Dubois will harass you. After filing charges with the school I was advised that I was expelled 2 days later. By a phone call from Mr. Dubois himself. When asked why, I was advised that I would "be receiving a letter in the mail".

Please note that they are currently in a government watchdog list out of 400 schools, investigated for fraud : sitting at NUMBER TWO!!!!

I wish I had done my research prior to April 2015 when this article was published.

Teacher, Annie Stone (Annie Smith) supplied me with a password for ThePoint....which is a data base of all the questions that you could receive on a test. To Cheat. Never having used it....I reported it a month later and she is still employed there.

What school would allow a teacher to give out a password to all the major exams and the few minor quiz's?

Use caution when applying....it is by far the worst school I've seen, attended to, or even heard of.

    Please investigate before you attend.

They tell you they have an attendance policy.....when they really don't.

I wonder how many minority students they have taken money for, from the government, to attend......only to be thrown out or dismissed after missing a class or two.....when there is no policy.

They are messing with the future of so many young people, and profiting off of it.

    Shame on you
