Today (October 5, 2018), Christina Cannarella (Founder/CVO, Mother Road Studios) and I (as new members of the West Valley Warner Center Chamber of Commerce) were honored to be a part of the 14th Annual Los Angeles City Mayor’s Luncheon hosted by the United Chambers of Commerce of the San Fernando Valley. Mayor Eric Garcetti recognized me from my political days in charge of disability policy for POTUS43. We briefed him on the need to voice his support for disability inclusion with regard to his recent Evolve Entertainment Fund (EEF). He also shared with us the mission for the 2028 Paralympic Games hosted here in Los Angeles is “Belonging and Inclusion,” which is in direct alignment with what we at Mother Road Studios have been implementing here in the San Fernando Valley. We are excited to be collaborating with our Mayor and his team, supporting them directly by sharing our content expertise and hands-on experience with successful inclusion strategies so we can disseminate them throughout our city. Our vision of creating a more inclusive Los Angeles is coming to fruition. A huge step forward for Diversity and Disability Inclusion!!!
