  It’s a fine place to go but, be prepared for them never having contact trials in stock. Then, promised rush orders that still take weeks to get in. Just very frustrating.

  I have gone to Sterling optical probably about 3-4 times in the past when my insurance switched over. Making an appointment was easy and convenient as they are open mall hours. This past experience was horrendous - I don't even feel safe wearing the glasses they prescribed. When I walked in, everybody working there was less than enthused. I went into the room with the "dr" and he asked me if I had any concerns with my vision. I started talking about medical history, and recent changes in vision. I was then cut off and told "yeah it is part of the maturation process". I did not feel he cared enough about the health of my eyes, considering the family medical health history. He then was monotone and mute the entire time, making me feel as if I was a bother to him. When doing the vision exam, normally there about 8-10 switches on each eye asking "better or worse". The "dr" only did ONE test per eye & then told me my right eye got worse and rushed me out the door. There is a horrible glasses selection so I asked for my prescription so I can go to a different dr and get better glasses. I was told they could not give me my prescription and had to pick out glasses. I picked out a pair and when I brought them to the counter, the person "helping" me said "are you sure you want these" with an attitude insinuating they were not my style/looked bad. I did pick out larger glasses due to the blind spots that occur with smaller thicker framed glasses. Overall, I would never recommend this place if you care about your eye health and having a thorough eye exam. After learning new family eye health information, I take my eye health very seriously and Sterling Optical did not. I plan on calling my health insurance and hopefully getting an exam somewhere else to make sure I have the right prescription and a more thorough check of my eyes.

  Dr. Honeyman has a great sense of humor and is very personable. As a medical professional myself, I can say he is experienced and has a passion for what he does.
  
  The other staff at Sterling are great too, they helped me pick 2 pair of glasses. Plus it helps to have insurance help pay for some of it! They got me in for a same day appointment for an eye exam too.

  I am very pleased with my experience at this store. In general, the staff is great. However, working with Constantine was an extreme pleasure. He was very polite, patient and knowledgeable. He delved into our insurance coverages and saved us money and gave us various options from which to choose. In addition, Dr. Honeyman was friendly and personable. I highly recommend this store.

  The people who work in this store are rude as heck , they sell over priced frames of past seasons and super bad customer service

  The selection is fair, but the staff is outstanding. My father and I dealt with a gentleman named Constantine, and he was the perfect employee. He was honest with his comments about the glasses we were trying on, he made very thoughtful suggestions, and answered any questions we had. It was easy to tell how knowledable and important he was to sterling, but the rest of the staff was great to. Would definitely recommend!

  They got me in for an appointment for an eye exam and new glasses after my puppy ate mine. They were friendly helped me pick ou5 glasses and had them ready for me in 10 minutes!
