I love living at Iconic! The remodel is awesome. If you ever need help, ask Kayla. She is so helpful
Kayla (at the front dest) is the best! I couldn't figure out how to connect the HDMI cord to the TV since it's in an almost impossible to reach spot. She tried to get maintenance to come help me and when she found out they were gone for the day, she took it upon herself to come to my apartment and help me personally! I love the way she truly cares about everyone she helps out. Thank you so much, Kayla!
5 star but only for Rhonda. I don't know how I survived last year without her. She's always very helpful when I come down to the office. Don't hesitate to ask her for anything !
Worst place to live. Management is terrible, they take MONTHS to get back to you and simply don't care. They overcharge for everything. My moving experience was terrible (first room was flooded and second was trashed) and then they have the audacity to charge me for trash when I left my apartment spotless. It looks nice from the outside - but the hallways smell like trash, cars get towed all the time and broken into, and the elevators smell like alcohol or vomit all the time. 0/10!
Sterling Alvarado has been a terrible experience. From my car being broken in to multiple times, to the management who just doesn't seem to care. These combined with the fact that these people will continue to nickle and dime you for everything your worth. I've even seen them tow a tenant's car from his own parking spot. They are always leaving 24 hour notices that make privacy hard to find. You would think that for the amount of money that people pay, management would have a little courtesy. My advice is run and hide, these people are snakes in the grass and will do anything to get every last penny out of you. You will have a much better experience at blvd 63 located right up the road! Thank me later!
Ps: Run and Hide!!!!
I originally had a good experience with my move in and my time staying there, besides the fact you will be discriminated against by their security judging you even if you are not a student and live there and look like you are younger they will treat you as if you dont know better, one night i was leaving the gym and walking passed the pool when the security started questioning me which was no issue but when i asked about the pool hrs and why its closed so early and he said that there are two types of residents here the students who dont listen like you and people who pay the rent and follow rules. I was not a student but I myself working in property management this was a very unacceptable comment they do not follow any fair housing laws which does need to be further looked into by others, and due to the mistreatment of myself and the complete disregard to communicate back with me in regards to theses situations I have tried emailing them in regards to my move out statement and stopping by in person and they will not let me discuss my issues. I know my rights working in property management as well as being a renter and am currently talking to lawyers to address the discrimination and the fair housing laws that are being broken. if any other resident has experienced the same thing please feel free to reach out to me for more information.
The place may look nice on the outside but is a total ripoff. High price for terrible staff service, overcharges, unpleasent! 0/10 reccomend! look for somewhere kinder to live.
I have had a wonderful experience here. Location is SUPER convenient and the staff has been great! Rhonda is awesome, so friendly and always helpful! I would definitely recommend living here as a college student.
I love living here! The office staff is great and friendly and the tanning dome is my favorite feature. Excited to renew my lease!
The ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had with a housing company. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I lived here over the summer while I was doing research. They towed me from the space I was paying for in their garage, and then charged me a towing fee of >$300 which was never refunded even though it was their mistake. They tried to charge my roommates and I (4 of us in total) $100 EACH for "common area paint", which was eventually withdrawn after we provided video proof that there were no paint scratches upon our move out AND calculated the cost of paint ($20 based on square footage) even if it were. The staff was uneducated on the policies of the facility. The common areas were constantly dirty and smelled like garbage (there is no ventilation system other than ceiling fans in the hallways). IF you are willing to take the risk to live here, my advice to you is: 1) DOCUMENT EVERYTHING - take photos on move in and move out, and photos of anything that happens. 2) Read everything - they WILL try to rip you off. Make sure you read what they are charging you for and it is accurate.
Overall 4/5. Office staff is very helpful. Blake has personally been able to help me on several occasions, as well as Nico and Leah in the office. Premises are nice, just can be a bit dirty sometimes.
I've lived at sterling twice so far: I moved to a different apartment after the first time and after a year in a much lower quality apartment I was relieved to move back. The space you get for the price you pay is reasonable and I cannot stress how nice it is to have a washer/dryer in the apartment. The kitchen is also really nice, and is really spacious compared to other apartments. It's a good place to live, what with the location, amenities, and space that you get
I've had a good experience living here for the past 3 years. The apartments are nice and spacious. It does feel like there are a lot of extra fees for things that should be included in the base rent (green fee, utility billing fee, etc). There are gas stoves which is a plus. From time to time the hallways are dirty but that is usually taken care of within a week. The office, Blake especially, has been helpful whenever I have had any issues that needed resolving. Overall this is good place to live while going to SDSU.
My experience here was wonderful. Anita was very welcoming and made the place feel like home. I will most definitely be returning back here!
I love living here and working here! Noticeable improvements have been made including bedroom/poolside furniture, gym equipment, and fresh paint around the property. Noise is tolerable and I love getting to know everyone that lives here. All around great community.
