Chesapeake Bay, Cambridge, MD -- created with the idea of making a greeting card that offers something more than the kind of card folks have become used to, SPA CARDS doubles as the gift that soothes the mind and the body!
More than 40 years ago, Founder and Artist, Stephanie Cooney, combines her love of the sea and her fondness for making smiles into cards that feature whimsical sea creatures soaking in a tub, enjoying the Dead Sea bath salts that can be seen through the front of the card. Inside her SPA CARDS, there is a ‘be happy’ meditation upon which the salts are attached. Each card also includes a paper envelope for easy mailing.
The original designs by Stephanie are created using pencil, watercolor and ink. Once the art is complete, Stephanie does the graphics for print as well.
The raw salts are imported from Israel by a company in New York City, who then mixes them with their various aromas. From there, SPA CARDS are re-packaged into sealed bags and assembled so that the card contents are clearly displayed and/or presented as a special gift.
SPA CARDS are the special way to give so much more than an ordinary card, they are the fun answer for an inexpensive gift every budget can afford!
