They have improved their process since the last time I had to replace my license. The wait time was not nearly what it has been in the past and everyone was friendly. It also helps that there is now a second DPS in Tarrant County.
Very easy to pass the road test and get the license from here. You need not take an appointment , you can go and do a walk in test early morning.
My best DPS experience is here! Waited for half an hour to get work done. The staffs are helpful.
Got here right at 8. They have streamlined the process perfectly. Was in and out with my license renewal, in about 35-40 minutes. Great service, friendly staff, would definitely come to this location again. Only downside is a small parking lot.
Easy and fast just like it suppose to be. I forgot the lady's name but she helped me get an appointment for my drivers test really fast and smooth. Thanks a lot you saved my life
I missed the entrance at first because of the traffic. Then, I couldn't find parking. I circled at least 3 times. I gave up and found another location with a glorious 5⭐ parking lot.
You absolutely cannot get anyone on the phone 😡 Trying to figure out why you just can't push 0 to get to an operator these days GESH!! I just had major surgery and cannot get to the actual office, thanks to not being able to reach a live person I'm probably going to lose my CDL 😡😡😡😡😡 Being told to hold for customer service now days mean, "If the automated system can't help you then you're screwed " 🤦🏽♀️
Visited here on 7/10/17. Recently moved to Texas. Since then, I have gotten my motorcycle course, and needed to update my license and switch it to a Texas license. The woman told me I could NOT switch my license over, UNTIL I had a vehicle in my name with TX plates. I informed her that I have multiple proofs of my address, and all required documents to do so. Again, she refused and told me I had to get my VEHICLE registered with Texas plates BEFORE I would be allowed to change my DL. Horrible service, extremely rude. Looks like I'll be driving 30 minutes to another location because the current staff does not care about their job.
Very small and very old building with limited parking and tight spaces. Many people have to park in the neighborhoods and walk. If you're handicapped, I feel for you! I arrived 3 minutes after opening and there was not one available parking space. The whole thing should be bulldozed and relocated. Lines are always long much like trying to get tags at court-house. Short-staffed. Staff has always been helpful, though. Anything that can be done online or by mail is best.
Parking is terrible, it's always crowded and EVERY TIME I go there is a staff member that is rude. If you don't have to go there don't because the staff will make you want to punch someone.
I have a CDL so I have to fill out a lot of paperwork. I made a mistake on my paperwork and the lady behind the counter was rude and would not help me with any question on how to fill it out. Then, another time I had to take a test. The lady behind the counter told me that after taking the test to go to the desk by the computers. After I was done that is what I did and no one was there. I stood there looking around wondering what to do next or if I should wait. After 15 minutes I got a hold of someone telling them I finished they told me to get at the end of a line. I'm like what I've been waiting 15 minutes at the desk like I was told to do and there was no line. The people that were head of the actual line were rude as well. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude to me. Then, I so wanted to say something to them but I knew I couldn't make a scene. It was very hard and it makes me so angry thinking about it. But, I know I did the right thing not jumping over the counter and pounding her like I wanted to.
I wish there was another so I can go there instead. Because I hate going there with a passion.
People are very rude here, but I got what I needed done. I am new to the state and things are different down here so definitely not a good expierince.
Women behind the couter was rude and nosey, rambling through my papers as if i handed them to her. Im 22 and i see why the youth says "screw a license".

Still waiting but there is a lot of people in a little tiny room. Not enough workers. They need to upgrade to computerized system instead of physical check ins. finished my service at 4:30pm. fast service but worker was very rude, do not want to communicate. no friendly talking just straight to work. they do not care about the people or the community, you can definitely tell.
Quick and efficient. I went to get my drivers permit. The guy behind the desk asked me a couple questions to make sure I had the right documents, then gave me a number and papers to sign. I waited thirty to forty minutes. My number was called and I went to a different desk. the lady quickly went through the things I brought, asked a few questions, gave me two papers to sign, took my picture, did an eye and color sensing test and I had my drivers permit. The employees were courteous and professional. I knew what to bring from the National Driver Training online program.
