St. Peter Claver Latin School for Boys currently serves inner-city, low-income boys with the goal of empowering them to become strong, self-sufficient, Christian leaders. We will be a school in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati on July 1, 2012. We are a one-of-a-kind ministry in Over-the-Rhine. We work in collaboration with the Salvation Army, Peasley Community Center, Cincinnati Public Library Main Branch, and Cincinnati Boychoir. We also receive textbooks and educational computers on loan from the Cincinnati Public Schools. The project is based on the Archdiocese curriculum and the State of Ohio educational standards. National standardized tests are used to measure their achievements as well as the use of Study Island to monitor these standards on a regular basis. We strive to provide the highest quality education possible by providing a high teacher-to-student ratio (about 1:10). This enables students to attain the help needed to excel in all areas of their education.
