St. Mary's is a safe haven. I was first attracted by the red door, which in olden times symbolized the church as being a sanctuary and it still is. Peter, our Priest, and all of the members of St. Mary's will make you feel at home from your first visit.

The church itself is gorgeous, with its natural wood beams, the crucifix, and the stained glass windows. The music, beautiful. The liturgical tradition, rich.

I highly recommend a visit to see for yourself.

I felt very welcomed and accepted at Saint Marys. This little church is a safe place regardless if you're catholic, orthodox, mormon or atheist. I like that I not only get to hear the word of God in this church, but also see, touch and taste it. For example to explain the reading about the mustard seed, the priest brought a real mustard seed. I also enjoy the fellowship on Sunday with free food.

I started attending St. Mary's around Easter time last year. It quickly became like a home away from home. The families there are very supportive, kind, and loving. The Fellowship hour at 11:30 is one of my favorite times of my week where I get to spend time with insightful and interesting people.

The atmosphere at St. Mary's is warm, welcoming, and traditional. Their liturgy dates back hundreds of years. The Episcopal Church is unlike any other in Utah. The Bishop (Scott) and Parish Priest (Peter) are affirming and supportive of causes that are important to me such gay rights, marriage equality, social justice, and eco-stewardship.

I definitely recommend St. Mary's to those who feel like they don't quite "fit in" at other Utah Churches.

This church combines the rich traditions of mainline Christianity with values that progressives like me can really get behind. The space feels sacred, and the folks are welcoming and affirming. A word of advice: take a few Sundays to get acquainted with the worship style and the people around you if it seems foreign. It'll feel natural in no time!
