Super easy to get rentals at Sports Basement. My experience with the people at the Sunnyvale location made me feel comfortable enough to come back and rent from them. Great prices for kids. My nephew was happy with the gear he got fitted into. The guys were very helpful and made sure we were happy with the rental. Definitely coming back for rental again.

Their selection is not deep in any given area, but they have a huge breadth of high quality items. No cheap stuff that will break next week. On this visit, we bought a mountain bike. The service was super helpful, if a little sparse. We tried the bike, and got it tuned up in about 30 minutes.

I only gave them 4 stars because I wish they had more options for kids.

Their bike shop is great. I needed a specific tool to take off my pedals in order to travel. They special ordered the tool from the supplier, and when the supplier dropped the order from their database they had it rush ordered so I could pack my bike in time. Great service and super responsive staff.

I really love this store. I used to shop here frequently before moving up the peninsula. The prices are very good here, and they have a friendly, helpful staff.

It is still the place that I take my bike for repairs whenever I need them. They usually don't have a very long wait to start working on it, they do good work, and they are less expensive than other shops.

Went to go get some active swim wear on Sunday. The place wasn't very busy, but they didn't have enough staff to help. I guess I'm used to department stores service where staff check on you and bring you different sizes to try. I had to go in and out of the changing room for different sizes on my own.

This is my first time at Sports Basement! I wish I'd discovered this place sooner. We got 2 pairs of winter boots. They had 30% discount on all snow gear since it's end of season, and that included winter boots. I compared prices online and at Sports Authority, and Sports Basement definitely had the best price with the 30% discount. Then we got additional 10% off with their membership, which costs $25 for lifetime but you can get it for free if you check-in on yelp.

Staff were very helpful. I initially didn't find boots I liked that fit my size, and they helped me look up if it would be available at other store locations. They also took a look at the fit and found out I should really go a half size bigger, so they actually do have my size. The staff also said I can return or exchange if the size doesn't fit even after use.
