Where do I begin with the poor experience we had. As soon as we got the the long haired dude sassed my family and I for booking separately for payment purposes. When I was signing the waiver and I asked for clarification he physically ripped the pen out of my hand and said “you’ve done enough, NEXT.” As a group of ten we thought we might have another 10-15 people but No! They shoved 47 people on that boat and sardined us on there. They were all about making money not about customer experience. Once we headed out there the waters were obviously rough. By the time we docked multiple people were getting sick. To top it off you couldn’t see a darn thing once you got in the water. I looked for 30 minutes for a clear spot and the only thing I saw was a bunch of gold fish swimming around me as I tried to get back on the boat with way too many people. As a first time snorkeler I really hope it goes up from here. Dan and Jenna who helped on the boat were greatit’s the management that needs to reevaluate. Especially after a hurricane I know it’s hard but you still need to respect your customers.

I have been coming to the keys for years and this was the qorst snorkeling trip I have ever taken . The guy at the desk flat lied to me talked to me like I was an idiot. . I asked about the conditions and he skirted the question then when pressed said was 80% visibilty which was a flat lie
Mind you this was an afternoon trip so they had already been out. When I talked the owner she pulled the same routine there is no gaurantee on conditions we gave you a snorkel trip. The visisbility was so poor you could barely see your hand in front of you. This company is all about the money and not the experience. SCAMMERS . If you want an honest and respectful experience go with Looe key reef resort. Side note captain Dan and Jenna were great the owners shady as hellresponse / report this review -

Awesome morning snorkel trip! The fish were swimming all around and spotted many new to me around here. The dolphin swimming near our boat on the way back were beckoning us to return soon. Thanks Captain Ray and Diver Jerry!

Hey guys! Totally had a great time and would recommend to try this place out especially for first time snorkeling! The staff (Sandy) that helped me book was super helpful and the crew (Capt. Ray and Dive Master Trevor) did amazing to ensure we had a great time and stayed safe. Enjoy your snorkeling!

I had a great time! The snorkeling was amazing because you were only 4-10 feet from the reefs and the fish came right up to you. I would definitely recommend.

My first snorkeling experience was amazing , thank you to the sail man and to the guy was helping out. Everyone was so helpful and nice. The trip was 3 hours for around $40 depending what time you went. Will definitely be back

Such an amazing experience beginning to end! Sombrero Reef was incredibly clear and blue, and there were so many beautiful fish to see! Captain Ray and Travis were awesome - They even explained some of the history surrounding the reef, including the nearby lighthouse! All of the equipment worked well, and we could not be anymore satisfied!
The ride out to the reef was a little choppy, which I didn't do well with, but Travis came over to try to mitigate the water from hitting me. My mom was unable to snorkel due to an allergy, and both of them still made sure she had an awesome time! After snorkeling, they gave out free lollipops, which really helped with the leftover saltwater taste. Some people were feeling ill, and they did an excellent job at making sure everyone was ok. We drove up from Key West for this snorkeling, and it was so worth it! Great music and company! Highly recommend Spirit for snorkeling in the Keys!response / report this review -

This snorkel trip was a great value for the snorkel view you experience. I have snorkeled in St.Thomas and Grand Turk and the view of the reef and maritime animals tops them by a long shot. Boat was a little crowded, snacks are $1.00 so bring a little cash. Unrushed experience for sure

After booking a sunset snorkel trip for our honeymoon we were asked to shift our schedule around to accomodate weather issues. The same day we shifted all plans and were informed 3 hours before that the company had to cancel the trip because only seven people booked and they needed ten. On top of that, our money had already been deducted and they only refunded us for $88.00 when we paid $93.00. The only explanation I received from them was that they had an outside booking service who charged a fee that they would not refund. So not only were our plans destroyed, but we actually lost money. Will be contacting the BBB about these poor practices.

We had a great snorkeling trip with Spirit. Our captain and dive master were very nice and informative. The reef was beautiful and had tons of fish! Among the usual ones we also saw a few barracuda. Very professional and well rehearsed trip.

Fantastic trip with only 13 people on our boat. Took us to beautiful sombrero reef where the fish and corals were so colourful and engaging. Friendly hosts too. More information about marine biology and fish identification would have been good, but a great trip all round. Would definitely do again.
