Salle Mauro is a great fencing academy! I have watched my girls grow to love a sport! The instructors are great! And the environment is friendly!!! I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Salle Mauro Fencing Academy offers teaching in a sport that is not readily available to children (from the usual sports, i.e. soccer, baseball, basketball). We are fortunate that the Academy is conveniently located by our neighborhood. It is a unique experience after our son has been involved in soccer, basketball and football.
The children learn the basic skills required to create a foundation in learning how to fence. The classes are fun, the students stay engaged and learn discipline. As with other practices that teach combat, the focus is in discipline so that the students can apply these attributes in everyday life.
Each instructor has their strengths and unique method of providing instruction to the students. They are patient, and ensure all students adhere to proper footwork, technique, and the terminology associated with movements and forms.
Our son has enjoyed his experience so far at Salle Mauro Fencing Academy (3 months). He is excited to attend the classes, and enjoys interaction with the instructors and other students. As a parent, I would highly recommend Salle Mauro Fencing Academy, as it offers expertise training for a sport that is not as widely mainstreamed as other sporting activities.report this review -

Glad that they opened in Pearland. I have been looking to get my kid and myself enrolled for sometime. We have been coached for almost 3 months now. It's a fantastic facility and the coaches are good and experienced. My kid is brimming with confidence and getting a hang of rules and I can see the coaches have dealt with kids before and they know how to correct the mistakes kids make in an encouraging way. They are also flexible to accommodate to far your schedule, which works well for me. We are having a very positive experience so far and I am hoping it continues the same way.

This academy is absolutely amazing! The experience that the coaches bring is stellar as they have all competed & excelled on an international level. They have been great about identifying where a child is with regard to experience/ability and balancing that with their goals and catering to that. In addition to that, when coaches from outside of the academy come to teach camps/clinics throughout the year, the benefit is always exponential. Great academy!
