Decent school, poor financial aide and general administration competence. Ridiculously expensive!
Great school. Student centered. That "Turnitin" system they use is a joke, but other than that everything is good.
I love this school! The professors and other faculty are great and want the students to succeed. I'm going into my fourth quarter and I'm so greatfull I choose South! I highly recommend this school to all ages and background! :)
South University is stellar! I completed my BSN, MSN, and now DNP at South. All of the professors have been great and very knowledgeable. I would not trade my South experience for anything. Thanks, South University!
South University is an amazing school that is built for adults and designed to provide us with limitless potential. I can honestly see this University opening a Osteopathic Medical School one day. They develop students in such a manner that they would have an amazing pool of applicants for the first class. If you are considering post-secondary education, you should highly consider South University. I don't know how they do it, but they recruit and retain some of the best professors I have ever had the pleasure to learn from.
Classes were great! Service is terrible. My transcript was typed up wrong. Therefore, getting into another college was delayed. Was put on hold, left messages and never got a call back. Because of the ridiculous customer service my life is being tampered with. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE!!! If you can't run customer service how does anything get done!
I am attending South to receive a career in as-medical assisting.
I have 2 small children 3 and 10 weeks. I love the staff they are very knowledgeable in their fields of study and they always make time to sit with u if u need extra help. Which is awesome for me because like I said 2 small children.
I've never attended a college like South. And I love it.
And college that has degree programs is a lot of work but they work with you.
I even receive 504 plan benefits under the disibilty act.
I get extra time and assignments and tests.
Also a quiet area to take test if need be.
Everyone there is so nicealways warm.
Very surprised by the negative comments as well.
No matter what school you go to, school is what you make it. Let's be honest, every school is in the business of educating their student and making money. At the end of the day, it is how bad you want to get your education. As far as South University, I have really enjoyed the experience. The Admission Rep, Finance Counselor, and Academic Counselor have all been great. I have been proactive and when you call, they will respond within the same business day. One thing I did like is my Professor will call you by phone. He checked up on me and see if I had additional questions about the course. I submitted an assignment 3 days earlier. He even gave me the opportunity to allow me to resubmit my assignment before he starts to grade it. Everyone has been great and very responsive. So, far I have had no problems. No professor has never reached out to me other staff members have not reached out to me as much South University staff have. College I believe is about being self sufficient and taking responsibility for yourself. No matter what school you go to, college is a true investment and you utilize your investment, it is going to be up to you. As far as South University, its a great school and the staff is great.
