  I can't go to other Chinese restaurants anymore because this one set the bar so high. It sounds silly, but I'll drive 30 minutes (or more in traffic) to get this food over the plethora of Chinese restaurants around me. I love their beef w/ broccoli, General Tso's chicken, and chicken lo mein. The broccoli is always fresh and cooked well, the beef isn't grisly, and the chicken is fried crispy and isn't soggy. I've also converted 3 friends and counting!

  If you want great tasting food this is the place you want to be but if you want poor customer service this place is also the place for you. I heard about this restaurant from job and loved it. I recently moved and this is my go to place for great Chinese Food. The first four times I ordered both the delivery drivers were amazing!!!! The last two times it left me feeling as though I am bother. The driver refused to come upstairs and deliver the food each time I had to come done stairs. The second time which was last night my order was $23, I gave the driver $40, he gave me back $13. I am not a bad tipper but correct me if I'm wrong as the customer is it not my choice to tip you how much I want to tip you. By the time I looked up to ask for the rest of my change the driver was through the door and in his car. I stood their stunned. I won't be ordering from the restaurant anymore as I cannot support poor customer serviceNot sure if the owners from this restaurant see this but something needs to be said

  Sooooooooo good! For me, South China is easily one of the best Chinese food restaurants in the area. They are very consistent, courteous, and clean! And did I say the food was good?? Mmm Mmm good! Every display that I've tried is good!!

  I chose this restaurant because they had crispy tofu with peanut sauce. The tofu came squishy (at best) with a sweet and sour sauce. The driver got lost and hung up on me when he called for directions, which were very clear on the online order and printed on the paper receipt. NEVER again.

  I wasn't expecting much when I ordered our food for delivery on Christmas day, but boy was I wrong!
  
  HANDS DOWN, the best Chinese food I've had in the area. Everything was hot and delicious, the driver was on time and super polite, and our order didn't cost an arm and a leg.
  
  South China is now my go-to for Chinese food when I'm in Alexandria.
