While solar markets are booming in other parts of the country, the market in Philadelphia has been slow to take off. The Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA) launched Solarize Philly to overcome local barriers to solar development and supports 500 homeowners to install solar by October 2018. Through Solarize Philly, Philadelphians can install rooftop solar at a below market price, while supporting affordable options for low-income households and job training programs.
